I walk with wolf down the sidewalk, on our way to school, him walking in front of me, making sure nobody dares to come near me. I giggle at the fact if his little spurts of barks and playful growls when a person walks past.
"Wolf, I'll be fine." I laugh. He continues to growl, ignoring my statement completely. I decide to play a little game with him.
"Grrr! I'm a big bad guy and I'm gonna get you!" I laugh. Wolf looks back at me and I chase him forward down the sidewalk. He's quite fast for me, but I continue to chase him, laughing as he's growling playfully.
I plop into the grass of exaustion, and try to catch my breath. I hold my right hand on my chest. Like that will help.
Wolf walks up to me, his tail and ears low.
"I'll be fine wolf." I say stammering and getting back up to my feet.
When I was I was around 13 years old, I got a cardiac disease that requires me to be extra careful with my running or physical activity, my chest always hurts but there's nothing much more I can do or afford with it. They don't let me participate in gym when that's one of my favorite parts in school. They say they don't want to take any chances, I get it. But I just wish.....these things never happened.
My breath Is heavy the rest of the way to school, Wolf keeps looking back with a concern to his fluffy brow.
"Wolf, I said I'm fine. Now, we're almost there so let's just keep moving."
He nods and continues to walk ahead of me with a slight hop in his step. I smile at his prance and we soon arrive at the school.
