Yesterday we had a test in Potions, and I completely bombed it.
I was so immersed in a book about Magical Creatures that the thought of the test had totally left my mind. I walked in to class, and plopped down, oblivious,a and then with a swish of his cloak, Professor Snape whisked across the room, slamming tests down onto the desks. I took it, not knowing half of the questions, and partially recalling the other half. So I was very confident that I bombed the test, but hey, Potions really isn't very interesting to me anyways.
Today, I sat down in Potions, head hanging low, as John slipped into the seat next to me and patted my back.
"I'm sure you didn't do that bad Sage! And if you really did do that bad, then... then I'll show you where the kitchens are!"
"What?! You know where the kitchens are?"
"Yeah. Andrew and I snuck around the castle a bit and found it! The house elves gave us so much food, I felt like I was going to explo-"
He was cut off as Professor Snape moved swiftly to the front of the classroom, and said
" Obviously, some of you didn't study. I'm very disappointed in you. I'll be handing your tests back out now."
He picked up a stack of papers, and I saw flashes of red on almost all the papers. He swooped by and set down John's carefully. He had gotten a 96%. He grinned widely at me, and turned through the test, going over the few that he had gotten wrong. Snape moved around the classroom, smacking tests down onto some students desks, and laying them carefully down for some others. Finally, as the last test had been passed back, he moved to his desk, picking one up and fiddling with it, before swiftly darting to the back of the class at my desk, and smoothing the test out onto the surface in front of me. I spotted my name on the front and then my eyes moved to the score.
100%
Underneath it in a spindly scrawl read,
"See me after class."
John turned to me, looking confused, but then smiled.
"I'll show you the kitchens anyhow."
After class, I packed up my bag and walked to Snape's desk. I pulled out my test, and layed it out, and said,
"Professor, I don't underst-"
"Miss LeClair, how did you do it?"
"Do what? I honestly don't deserve a hundred sir. There must have been some kind of mistake?"
" No mistake was made Miss LeClair. You are the only person in the entire year who got a perfect score on my test. So how did you do it?"
"Professor, I honestly have absolutely no clue. I swear I didn't use magic or anything. I didn't even study for this test. I have absolutely no clue how I got an perfect score!"
" Well then. I guess it was just dumb luck. Goodbye Miss LeClair."
"Goodbye Professor."
A/N Hey guys! This is part one for Potions Class, as I'll be uploading another one tomorrow hopefully! Hope you guys enjoy! Until next time, Bye! ~Maya
