"You've been in a coma for two days Miss Sage. A nasty hit to the head I'll say, but its getting better. Would you like something to drink?"
Madame Pomfrey wouldn't stop pestering, even after I had told her at least 3 times in the past 20 minutes that I was feeling fine, just a bad headache. I had taken 5 different potions, and none of them seemed to be doing a thing.
When I woke up, all I wanted was something to drink. My mouth and throat felt like I was trying to swallow burnt parchment. I greedily gulped down a few glasses of water, and then ate some food. Then I met Mercy. She had been here in the hospital wing with me for a few days.
"Hello! I'm Mercy, 1st year, Hufflepuff. I was wondering if ... maybe you would like to talk? I haven't really had anyone else to talk to except for Madame Pomfrey, and that's ...well a bore."
She spoke fast, but she was shy. Her hair was red, and her eyes blue and doe-like. She was tall, maybe a few inches taller than me. It took me a moment to process what she had asked, and after realizing, I smiled.
"Of course! I'm Sage, 1st year Ravenclaw. Nice to meet you!"
We talked for a few minutes when we heard a screech from across the wing.
"Miss Mercy, why in the world are you out of bed! You are injured! Go, now!"
"Madame Pomfrey, I'm all bandaged up, and I'm completely fine. Its happened before so now, I'm pretty much immune to falls."
"Wait a moment, what even happened?" I asked, curious to what she could mean.
"Well you see, I fell down a staircase reading my book. It's happened before, near the beginning of term, so I don't understand why Madame Pomfrey" she shot her a glare, "thinks I need to be laying down all the time."
I giggled. "You fell down a staircase while reading?"
"Yeah I did. Pretty funny huh?" she asked.
Madame Pomfrey patted Mercy on the shoulder, and said, "Well, I suppose you can talk for a little while. Just make sure that you both are in bed with lights out in an hour. Its getting late." She sighed and walked away, defeated.
We stayed up, talking about odds and ends, and lots of random things. We talked about books, and classes, and what we thought of the professors. Finally, an hour passed, and Mercy headed off to bed.
My headache was still a bother, but my mood had brightened by a 100%.

FantasyHogwarts is so beautiful. Its absolutely incredible, and I had just seen it for the first time. The magic that seemed to radiate from the castle made it have a glow, almost seeming lit up in the moonlight. Everything felt so surreal. Hogwarts was ab...
