Demi always came for when I got caught. Always. It may take her a while but she'd come through in the end because as much as she hates to admit it, she needs me. I'd be locked up a few weeks at a time then she'd suddenly appear one day but as the hours turned to days. And the days turned to weeks, my hope started to fade. I missed her but I was starting to question wether she missed me. This time maybe she actually wasn't coming? No! I couldn't think like that. I know she is coming, just gotta be patient. Its hell being locked up considering my only company is the voices in my head. Oh and just across from me I can see Nick. Sucked knowing he got locked up too but I suppose it was nice having a familiar face. I wasn't sure how I had survived this long if I was being honest. The again I did. I wanted to see Demi plus I had a back up plan, it was just finding a way to implement it. I wasn't gonna be locked up for ever, even if that's what the bat intended. He should know that by now. I've escaped many times.
"Dinner time!"
Oh great, a guard. I jumped up off my bed, walking over to the glass.
"What's on the menu today huh? I'm hoping Mac and cheese."
He slid a small try through a slot in the glass door without saying a word. I glanced over to Nick. He offered me a soft smile before focusing back on the plant he had. I didn't think they're dumb enough to give him a real one but I guess I was wrong. On the floor lay a tray of Nutriloaf.
"Yay!" I mumbled sarcastically. Nutriloaf was like the devil of foods. It's disgusting and most people would do anything physically possible to get away from it. I kicked it back out, smiling at the guards walking past and rested to he side. The minute the slot closed, I knocked three times and the man silently turned to me. His shimmering blue eyes locked into mine but the rest of him was covered by his uniform. I didn't recognise him so maybe he was new.
"The names Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N nice to meetcha."
"I know who you are." A smile played on my dry lips. Always felt like an honour to have people know my name.
"Does that mean you'll play with me? or at least let me out?" I couldn't help but groan as he laughed. I'll take that as a no then.
"Everyone else is allowed out."
Everyone knows in prison - or asylum in my case - they have facilities like a lounge or a library. A place to chill. I'd been here enough times to know my way around and yet they wouldn't let me past this glass door except to see my psychologist and even then my arms were locked behind my back. It's like they thought I would try and escape if they let me out, I mean I would, but that's beside the point. They have guards for a reason.
"No can do sugar."
"But I'm bored" I whined offering my best pout. He stared at me for a second, surveying my features before shaking his head.
"You know what happened last time we let you out."
"So I took a couple guards out, it's no biggie. It was just a joke." I giggled before realising that probably wasn't the best thing to say right now.
"I heard you took down at least three guards, I wouldn't call that a joke. Ain't nobody gonna play with you princess. Go read or something." A long sigh left my body. Why was prison so boring?
"Can I have a book then?" I asked, knocking again.
"No!"
"But you just-" there was a loud bang against the door
"Shut up in there." Falling back down against the hard mattress I had to think of a way to make my own entertainment. I whistled a soft tune, closing my eyes to think about the adventures i'd have once I got out. My reunion with Demi. I wish she'd hurry up. I glanced up to the sheets that hung from the ceiling. Getting up, I reaching for it. This was all I had and by that, I mean this was what was supposed to be on my bed but I got to hang it up with the help of a few guards. They could be nice sometimes, I suppose, not often. I did enjoy some Arial work but wrapping myself up in my sheets as I dance around can seem a little unfulfilling after a while. With the material wrapped around my waist, I hung upside down legs split straight. The sound of the door opening almost made me loose my grip. I slipped down slightly, narrowing in on the disturbance.
