Chapter 25

Maya POV

Lucas and I left my place at 2:30 to pick up McKenzie. Once we picked her up went to Lucas place. She had homework today so the first thing we did was get that done and out of the way. After that she was having some bonding time with Lucas playing dress up pretending she was a princess and he made her a tent castle.  He was doing much better than earlier. I think our talk helped him out a lot. I had just got done setting table for dinner and before I called Lucas and Kenzie to come eat I wanted to frost the cake that I had made dessert. I chose a yellow cake mix with chocolate frosting as that was Lucas and Kenzie's favorite. I grabbed a small offset spatula out the drawer and began to frost the cake when Lucas came up behind and grabbed the small frosting container. 

I turned around to look at him "Hey, what do you think you are doing? I need that. "

"Just wanted a lick of frosting he said as he put his finger into the container putting some of the chocolate on his finger." 

I grabbed the container out of his hand and sat it on the counter. Since he was acting like a child I thought I'd troll him a little bit. I grabbed his hand before he could put the frosting in his mouth. I gave him an evil shit eaten grin as I started bring his hand towards my mouth. I licked the frosting off twirling my tongue around his finger making sure to lick off the all the chocolate. He looked at me shocked with a shocked expression on his face. 

"Quit playing with my frosting, Huckleberry." I grinned before turning back around to finish the cake. 

Lucas wrapped his arms around me "I'm over the frosting, It's you I want to play with now." he whispered as he started kissing me on my neck. 

"Oh I'm sure you do but not right now." I whispered back. "You better go check on your sister." 

Lucas kissed me on the cheek before letting me go. I held back a chuckle as he walked out of the kitchen.  After frosting the cake I hollered for them to come eat. We were in the middle of dinner when there was a knock at the door. I  told Lucas  to stay with McKenzie figuring it was likely Riley at the the door. Turns out it was Riley, Auggie, and Farkle. McKenzie had just finished eating so we sent her of to go play with Auggie while the three of us sat in the kitchen.  Riley and Lucas had met via FaceTime before but this was the first time she really ever had a chance to hang out with him in person. The three of us walked out into the kitchen and sat around the table. 

"Lucas this is Farkle." I replied. Farkle waved at Lucas. I think the whole condom incident was still awkward for him. 

"Oh Hi Farkle, nice to finally meet you in person." Lucas replied. "Sorry about the whole condom incident last month." 

Me and Riley started giggling while Farkle just mumbled it was fine. 

Riley turned to look at me "Maya what happened today?" she asked and I could tell she was really concerned. 

"It was Nate. He keeps hitting on me but today he trapped me in front of a locker." I replied. "I was so scared Riley but luckily Lucas came along and saved the day. "

"Well I don't think you have to worry about him anymore. Dad didn't go into detail with me on anything but he asked me if Nate ever did that to me. Apparently he's done it to several other girls."  she replied. "It sounds to me like he's been kicked out of school." 

"Serves the asshole right." Lucas chimed in.  Riley and I chuckled. 

"He really is an asshole though." Farkle chimed in. 

"Oh good, that's so good and makes me feel a lot better. Even though I'll have Lucas with me to protect me that didn't stop me from thinking about it possibly happening again." 

"Well you don't have to worry anymore, peaches."  she answered with a smile. 

The four of us were chatting when Auggie and Kenzie walked in and interrupted the conversation. 

"We have some news for you." Kenzie said and we all looked at each other confused. 

"What's your news Kenzie?" Lucas asked. 

"Auggie is now my boyfriend." Kenzie stated matter of factly. 

"Yeah," Auggie shrugged "She kind of told me I had to be." 

I looked over at Lucas and started laughing at the blank expression on his face. "Is that so he? answered. 

"Yep!" Kenzie said as she was holding Auggie's hand. 

"You're not allowed to have a boyfriend until your 40." Lucas said and I started laughing. 

"We want to be like you and Maya!" Kenzie replied and I couldn't help it. 

"Awe that's so cute Lucas." I said turning around to look at him. He was now glaring at me. 

"Yeah and like Riley and Farkle." Auggie said. 

"I wonder how Mommy's going to feel about that Auggie?" Riley chimed in. 

The two walked off to go play and I looked at Lucas "Lighten up they have no clue what they're doing." I laughed. 

"Were we really that bad in front of them?" Farkle asked. 

"The most we have done is make out when and him accidentally walking in." Riley answered.

"Oh my god Maya what Kenzie saw us in bed this morning?" he said. 

"Nothing we can do about it." I replied and looked over to Farkle and Riley were siting there with horrified look on their faces. 

"Well Maya, I guess its a good thing you practiced putting the condom on the banana then." Farkle replied.

I rolled my eyes "It's not what you are thinking! We were just making in his bed this morning before school. "I laughed. 

Riley, Farkle, Lucas and I all hung out chatting for another hour or so. They eventually had to go because Auggie needed to go home and get around for bed. After putting Kenzie down, I joined Lucas on the couch. I cuddled into him and we watched a movie. It wasn't long before his mom got home. As much as I wanted to stay with him I knew that i needed to go home tonight. I gave him a kiss and I told him that I loved him before leaving. Tomorrow was our first day of school together. I couldn't wait!
