Replenishment

You both stare into the crystal that the fairies had given you. It was about the size of a large seashell, and the texture is bumpy and sharp.

"When do you think they'd show up?" Taehyung asked. You shrugged in response, it is a good question.

"Hopefully soon," As soon as you both began to talk, you both saw the crystal light up. You look into it to see the fairies flying and searching all around.

"Can you hear us?" Caroline asked both of you.

"Mhm," You hummed. For a crystal, you can see everything clear as day. Nothing is too blurry and it is easy to spot everything out.

"Good, we have good news! We found tracks and we are following them now," Jenny stated as she was watching the ground when she was flying. You felt a little of relief fill you as you heard her words.

"No bad news?" Taehyung asked them, which they shook their heads.

"No, other than that we haven't found him yet. That's about it," You shrugged, you could kinda tell.

"Caroline!" Jenny shouted as she pointed to the left. Caroline looked to the direction to where she was pointing and she gasped.

"I think we found him!" You and Taehyung jumped while exchanging glances.

"What?!"

"He's an Interitum, right?" You nodded. You felt your heart race out of your chest.

"Then this might be him, look!" Jenny pointed out as you both looked in the crystal more. It shows Maru underneath a bunch of vines and roots, he seems to be unconscious.

Caroline flew over to him and checked him out to see if he was still alive, while Jenny was still with us.

"He's alive, just injured! we can heal him to full health," Caroline called out as you happily exhaled.

They took all of the leaves, vines, and roots off of him and pulled him away from the tree. From what you can see, his paw and his upper arms are scratched, most likely by the thorns.

Jenny pulled some rose petals out of her pocket and sprinkled something glittery on it, before blowing it all over Maru's body.

"He will wake up in about a minute, fully replenished!" Caroline stated as you and Taehyung bowed slightly.

"Thank you! This means so much!" You thanked them, they just gave you a smile.

"No problem at all! We were happy to help, and we will arrive back at the cave once he wakes up. It wont take long for us to arrive," They promised.

You have met a bunch of nice creatures in here, so many things that you all discovered. So many things you wish to take home, but how long would it last?

The image on the rock faded and you were no longer in contact with the fairies. So you sighed happily and leaned on Taehyung full of glee.

"I have never felt so relieved in my entire life..." He whispered as you let off a tiny giggle.

"Me neither, I am so thankful!" You replied excitedly, as you both gave each other exquisite eye contact.

"Though I am curious..." You looked at him in wonder.

"Hm?"

"I'm curious about what will happen if the forest consumes us? Will we turn into a creature? Will we die a painful death right after? Will we never have the chance to escape once it does consume us?" He asked all in one entire breath.

"The forest wont consume us," You reassured him, but he just tilted his head.

"What makes you so sure?"

"Because we will be getting out of here," You said, full of confidence. He sighed while nodding at the same time.

Although the questions he asked are good, and they are bugging you, it's better to focus on the positive.

"You're right," He said. He patted your head as you gave him a bright smile.

"What do you think will happen once we make it out?" You asked him, which he looked up, thinking of an answer.

"Well, knowing bangtan, they probably wont give us a warm greeting," He answered, which makes sense... What will Rapmon do? What will be Suga's reaction?

Rapmon and Suga are the ones that scare you the most out of the 'gang'. I mean... You met them, they weren't really friendly towards you. They're worse than the others.

"What should we tell our parents?"

"Just say that you spent the nights over a friends house, just to get away and think of things," He replied. Which is good one, because like you said before... Your parents don't care what you do, as long as it doesn't involve drugs or getting pregnant.

"Alright, sounds good enough," You sighed. You don't care what will happen, as long as you get out of this damn forest.

Again, Rapmons voice appeared... what now?

"Now you both have 1 more hour remaining, good luck guys," Rapmon said before hanging up. You sighed and looked out the entrance of the cave.

"Maru... Where are you?" As if on cue, Maru prances on in with a few branches of raspberries in his mouth and sets it in front of you both. Right behind him were the fairies holding more branches with the berries.

"Maru!" You and Taehyung yelled as he bounced onto your guy's lap.

"I missed you both so much!" Maru shouted as he was nuzzling his head repeatedly on your arm.

"Sorry it took awhile, we picked up food before we arrived so you both wont get hungry," Jenny said, as they set the berries on the pile of branches.

"Thank you guys so much!" Taehyung thanked them as they wave it off.

"It was really no problem," Caroline said as they fluttered towards the exit, leaving off a sparkly trail as they flew off.

"It's best if we now head separate ways, we will never forget meeting you guys, (Y/N) and Taehyung, our first humans. We wish you the best luck in the future," Caroline said as she waved and exited the cave.

"Wait, what about the crystal?" You asked Jenny before she left. She just shook her head and gave you a pleasing smile.

"Keep it, so you can remember us. Our gift from us to you both," She said as you and Taehyung bowed.

"Thanks!" Jenny waved and she left the cave soon after, leaving all three of us that reunited again.

"What happened to you?" Taehyung asked him, which Maru just shook his head.

"I don't remember, all I know is that I was injured and they saved me. They were so colorful and nice! Just like all fairies are," Maru said happily as you and Taehyung started to munch on the berries.

"Wow..." You uttered as you swallowed the berries.

"After we're done eating, can we have a move on? Rapmon said that we have an hour remaining," Taehyung asked as Maru gave him wide eyes.

"That's all you have left?! Gee wiz where did the time go?" You chuckled from his words, so did Taehyung. But you just shrugged while petting his head.

"I don't know, buddy," You said as he started panting. His tail was wagging insanely, repeatedly smacking Taehyung's shoulder full force.

"I'll miss you when you both leave!" Maru exclaimed as he started to lick your hand.

"And we will miss you too," Taehyung said as you both hugged Maru tightly. This picture... This moment right here, makes you feel so complete. You have never felt as happy as you did before, and you feel as if you never want to let go of them.
