Well, I published this WAY sooner than I expected. I'm sure no one will mind though. :)
All of the other chapters have been edited. I would highly recommend going back and rereading all of them before reading this.
Quick note: Since I haven't been able to find the Kanan comics, I'm just going to make up his story for this fanfic. Since, after all the younger Caleb is actually living the Clone Wars events during the Ghost crew's time travelling, present Kanan is doing something different in the Clone Wars. Just wanted to clarify! Enjoy!

(Kanan pov)
"Ezra, drop the crystal!" I start, eyes flashing open in alarm as I realize what that crystal was. I look around urgently and instantly dismay. My cry was too late. "Karabast."
I'm in a cell of some kind. It's dark and gloomy, and reminds me all too much of the Imperials' cell styles. My clothes include some sort of uniform, torn and ripped and dirty, and an empty holster. No comlink. No blaster. No lightsaber.
"This sucks," I sigh and lean my head against the wall, sliding down it until I'm sitting on the metal bench. "Stupid Jedi legends. I didn't think the crystal was real. I should know better than to second-guess or doubt Master Yoda."
Now, to figure out what place in time I've taken. I stare down at my uniform. Definitely security of some kind. I finger the emblem on my sleeve and recognize it vaguely.
It's from Onderon, a planet in the Inner Rim. I work for Onderon's security forces?
Wait a minute.... Do I still have the Force? I carefully, cautiously reach out for it.
Of course I do. Time travelling doesn't take away the Force; that's something no one can take from anyone, no matter what. It's inside of you, stupid! Calm down and stop panicking. There's a way out of this, you just have to figure it out. I withdraw my touch from the Force just as the door in front of me slides open. I stare at who enters, shocked.
General Grievous.
I'm in the Clone Wars, then.
Again.
Karabast. I didn't want to ever relive this era!
The mechanical monster drops a piece of paper on the floor in front of me. It's an identicard. "Kanan Jarrus. Former Onderon security chief, is it?" He rasps.
I have no idea. "Is that what the card says?" I say, feigning carelessness. At least the card has my actual name on it, so I won't have to try and remember some fake name from this Clone Wars time travelling. Likely because during this era, I still went by Caleb Dume. So I've basically split into two different people; my past and present self. At least that stupid crystal decided to help me out a little, though it did cause this whole situation in the first place.
Grievous ignores me and continues on, coughing in between sentences. "You worked for the Onderon Security system under Separatist rule, until you rallied your troops and led an attack on the palace. Now, you work for the Onderon resistance as a high-ranking soldier. Such a thing is an act of treason against your government and against the Separatists. In your latest mission against your own government, your team were overwhelmed by our droid forces and so you sacrificed yourself so that your other rebel companions could escape capture and death. Now, you have been brought to me." He launched into a coughing fit.
I remain silent. So this is my backstory, huh? Well, I can roll with this.
"What can I say," I smile slightly, cockily. "I'm heroic."
"You won't be feeling that way for long," Grevious scoffs. "You are my prisoner, and will not likely return home to your rebel friends, or live to see the next sunset."
"I'm not afraid of you," I shoot back, not even lying. "Once, I would have been. Not anymore."
And that's true. Fear is something that's always been a part of my life, especially after taking Ezra as a Padawan, but now? This isn't really my life. Besides, it won't be long before my actual friends–or the Onderon rebels–come after me and help me escape wherever it is I am.
"You speak like a Jedi," Grievous says, leaning in. "Interesting. Maybe there is more to you than meets the eye. But for now, I will treat you as I would any other traitor. With pain."
I meet his hollow eyes. "Bring it on."
