ONE OK ROCK JUST CAME ON SHUFFLE ASDFGHJKL

--------------

As Mckenzie walked to Jacque and Lauren's room, she couldn't help but wonder what Maria had been looking for. There were a lot of things Mckenzie was wondering about Maria lately and that worried her. They were supposed to be best friends and know everything about each other. Did she not trust Mckenzie? Mckenzie brushed that aside. Of course she trusted her. The two probably just had to sit down and talk.

Mckenzie let herself into Jacque and Lauren's room. The two were sitting in front of a white board with dry erase markers in their hand. Their eyes widened when they saw Mckenzie and Lauren immediately flipped the white board so that Mckenzie only saw the clean side. She hadn't had time to read that was on the first side. Mckenzie raised an eyebrow and closed the door behind her, leaning against it.

"Spill." Jacque groaned.

"So much for being secretive, Lauren," Jacque said.

"Shut up, Jacque. Maybe she can help," Lauren reasoned.

"Help with what?" Mckenzie asked. Jacque groaned and flipped the white board over again. There were three black bubbles. Each of the bubbles had a name. The first was Luke, the second was Ashton, and the third was Maria. They were the biggest bubbles on the board, but off to the left of them were three slightly smaller bubbles that said Mckenzie, Michael, and Calum. The Mckenzie and Michael bubbles had a line between them that said 'Mckenzie is Michael's 'person'' then the Michael bubble and the Calum bubble had a line connecting them, but with a question mark. It was similar for the lines between Luke, Ashton, and Maria. They all had lines connecting to each other, but they all had question marks.

"What is all this?" Mckenzie asked. Jacque and Lauren glanced at each other.

"We're trying to figure out what's going on between everyone because we all seem to have a past with someone and we didn't know about it," Lauren explained. Mckenzie sat down on the end of Jacque's bed which was facing the white board.

"So you've made a chart?" They nodded. "You don't seem to have very much."

"Yeah, well." Jacque shrugged. "Not much has happened to prove our suspicions yet." Jacque and Lauren were nervous to see how Mckenzie would react, seeing that her name was on the board.

"I think I have some ideas," Mckenzie said. Jacque and Lauren smiled. "First of all, you need a color coding system because eventually this will fill up with lines and it will be too hard to tell what's what."

"Alright, what do you suggest?" Jacque asked. Mckenzie thought.

"Red for relationship anywhere in time other then friendship, blue for roommates, green for enemies, and black for other. Also, once things start getting crazy, you can number every line for each color and then use that as a key to write descriptions for why that line is even there." Lauren riffled through her drawer and threw the markers towards Jacque who caught them effortlessly. Jacque then erased the line between Michael and Mckenzie and drew a new red line.

"Jacque!" Mckenzie exclaimed. Jacque rolled her eyes.

"Stop pretending that you won't end up dating. It's staying red." Mckenzie groaned.

"I wish Michael was here to defend me," she mumbled. A second later, Michael was standing in the middle of the room, his hair wet, a towel around his waist, a razor in his hand, and half of his face was covered with shaving cream. He screamed a high pitch scream and the girls screamed too.

"Mckenzie!" Michael shrieked. Mckenzie covered her mouth with her hand, trying to stifle her giggles. She noticed Jacque and Lauren doing the same. Michael's face, the part that wasn't covered with shaving cream, was bright red. He looked up towards the wall at the white board.

"What's that?"

"Damn it!" Jacque groaned then gave Michael the run down. Michael was shivering towards the end.

"Michael, I wish that your face was clean and you were wearing clothes," Mckenzie said. Michael smiled and in the blink of an eye he was standing in the same spot, but now wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt. His lilac hair was still damp. Michael took a seat next to Mckenzie.

"So what information do you have already?" he asked. Jacque cleared her throat.

"Not much. We have the holy trinity in the middle and we all know that they have something going on, but we don't know what. Then, um," Jacque trailed off since the other two lines were the mystery between Calum and Michael and the red relationship line between Michael and Mckenzie. Michael blushed.

"What makes you think that there's something between me and Calum?" Michael asked, trying to mask his nervousness. Jacque shrugged.

"Well, we figure that you two obviously know each other, but we don't know that either," Jacque said.

"So you basically have nothing," Michael said, trying to change the subject ever so slightly.

"Basically," Lauren said. Mckenzie and Lauren didn't seem to mind the small subject change, but Jacque narrowed her eyes at Michael.

"Do you know anything that we could put up?" Mckenzie asked Michael. Within the time everyone had been talking, they had both shifted closer to each other so that their shoulders were side by side.

"Not that I can think of. But I do have an idea." Michael stood up and grabbed the black marker from Lauren. Underneath each vampire on the board, he wrote 'Power:'.

"Maybe their powers can help us figure all of this out. That's a really good idea. Except that we don't know my power, or Maria's, or Lukes," Mckenzie said. She took the marker from Michael and made two more people bubbles and put then on the other side of the trinity; Jacque and Lauren. Mckenzie went to town with drawing lines, color coding them, and numbering them. She made all of the lines connecting Maria, Luke, and Ashton together green. She figured that they were enemies from the way they talked to each other, except lately Luke and Ashton had been acting friendlier. Mckenzie decided to go with her gut feeling. She made blue lines between Jacque and Lauren, Luke and Michael, Calum and Ashton, and Maria and herself since they were all roommates. There was already a red line between her and Michael and she really didn't want to change that. She filled in Jacque's power with 'invisibility' and Lauren's power with 'reality warping'.

"Wow. This is a project," Michael mumbled.

"You guys, I think we're late for dinner," Lauren said. Mckenzie flipped the white board so the blank side was facing outwards.

"Calum and Maria will probably meet us there, if they're not there already," Jacque added.

"Michael, I wish we were all standing outside of the cafeteria doors," Mckenzie said. Michael laughed and snapped his fingers and then they were standing outside of the doors.

"Ugh I think my ears popped," Jacque complained. Mckenzie rolled her eyes as the other two laughed.

The four walked into the dining room towards their table. There were quiet whispers going on at every table, not the normal loud chatter. At their usual lunch table, Calum and Maria were sitting next to each other and whispering. Mckenzie sat down next to Maria, Michael across from her Lauren next to Michael, and Jacque on the end across from Calum.

"Have you guys head?" Maria asked. They gave her a confused look.

"Heard about what?" Jacque asked.

"About the-" Calum started, but he was cut off by the speaker system crackling to life. Ms. Vampira and the resident admins from the other schools were stood in the usual formation on the stage.

"Settle," Ms. Vampira said. The room quieted down slowly. "We are aware of the current situation and we're waiting to tell you all until we had more information on the situation ourselves, but it seems that word has somehow gotten out and we need to address it." She took a deep breath. "A body was found just outside of the bounds of this school. Whom it is has not been revealed to us just yet, but investigators are working diligently..." Mckenzie's mouth went dry. She was in shock, and not for the reason she sound have been.

Someone was dead and she had unknowingly known that it was going to happen. But that wasn't the worst part.

Mckenzie knew that this was just the beginning.
