She sits in her chair,

wondering if she can ever get there.

The happy place that everyone else has...

there they can be themselves whereas...

She can't be herself, she always needs love.

But no one is there to give her that hug.

She gets up from her desk and chair,

stepping out into the stormy and late air.

She starts walking faster, running even...

she fades out for her mind is now dreaming.

Her body takes her to her childhood hideaway.

Where it remembers the times of the good old days.

She picks up the phone to call but no one is home...

The dial tone beginning to drone.

She leaves a message and this is was she says,

"I'm sorry I was awful... At least my awful life will come to an end."

And with that she turns to look back the way she came.

Wiping away the tears and blood stains.

Her head falls back as she goes tumbling down.

Her last facial expression no longer a frown.

For above her deadly plait,

is a lightning storm at night.

She smiles as her head connects the ground.

And of that quiet and peaceful night, snapping was the last sound.

The next day at school there's an announcement.

Everyone's heart split into fragments.

Those who cared mourned in pain...

Those who refrained felt the pain again.

Those who were close gathered at the spot,

and with their heavy souls they brought,

flowers and memories to sit on display.

Because sadly...

Nothing gold can stay.
