Chunin Exams: Part 2

Sasuke

I must have fallen asleep in here. When I woke up to screaming, I noticed I was still in the chair. I forcefully got up and went to the empty side of the bed and sat on my knees.

"Kyoko! Kyoko!" I shook her. She woke up immediately and started panicking.

"Kyoko, Kyoko. Its okay, its okay." I quickly pulled her to my chest and gave her a tight hug. "I've got you, Kyo. I've got you."

She began to calm down I'm my arms.

Kyoko

My nightmare involved people dying all around me. The worst part about it was that I was the one killing them.

Sasuke was holding me close. I never wanted him to let go. But then he did.

"Well, I guess I'll go sitting back in my chair." Sasuke got up and sat next to me.

"Sasuke."

"Yeah?"

"Can you hold my hand?" Sasuke sighed and scooted his chair closer to the bed. He grabbed my hand harshly but held it softly.

I drifted off to sleep, feeling safe with his hand in mine.

Morning

Sasuke was still there. He must have fallen asleep when I did. Were have been losing sleep because of me. It just makes me feel bad that he has to be in a chair when he sleeps.

"Good morning." he rubbed his eyes and stretched.

"hi." I respond lazily.

Sasuke just left. I hopped out of bed and got ready.

"So you guys all want to go through with this?" We all nodded

"That's good. You see, you need all the members of your team to sign up if you want to go through with the exams. If one of you didn't want to do this then the whole team couldn't do this." Kakashi handed us back the papers.

"Now you have two days left. You can either train or relax. Choose wisely." after a puff of smoke he left.

*Day of the Chunin Exam*

"Alright. Let's go." Sasuke commanded. The four of us all went to the place of the exam.

"Hey! We need to get through." a girl with two buns complained to the two guys blocking the entrance.

"If you can't fight us then you can't even survive the exams." one of the guys said smugly.

"Let us through. We need to get to floor 3." Sasuke said sternly. Everyone around us started whispering.

"This is floor 3." I said to him.

"For an ex-Akatsuki member, you sure aren't bright." he retorted.
"This is floor 2. Sakura, you have the sharpest eyes in the group. Surely you noticed this."

"Huh, oh! Right of course I did." Sakura is obviously trying to impress him.

"Uh, yeah. So did I." Naruto said.

The genjutsu went away and revealed floor 2. The boys just randomly disappeared.

"I'll be right back." I left to go outside really quick.

Sasuke saw right through that jutsu that even I didn't see. He is a really smart boy. And cute too. I shook my head. No, Kyoko! You do not have a crush on him. No! Do I?

I screamed loudly in frustration. I turned over and kicked the tree that was near me. Then I heard a loud smash! I quickly fan to where it was coming from.

Sasuke was inside, fighting some dude with a shiny bowl cut.

"Hey! Stop it, Rock-Lee." some guy that looked exactly like him, butted in.
"Guy-sensei! Yes of course." and with that they left.

A bell wrung for the exams to start. We all pulled into a room with papers on every desk.

"You will have to fill out every question in this test. In the last five minutes, I will give you the 10th question. You don't have to answer it. But if you don't, you will never take these exams again." this spooked everyone.

"If I catch you cheating, that is an automatic 2 point loss. Go!"

We filled over our tests. I looked around to see the whole room filled with ninjas go keep an eye on us.

I looked at the test. This is gonna be easy. I started filling out the answers with whatever Itachi taught me. Without even realizing, an hour passed and it was time for the final question.

"If there are any of you who would not like to answer this, you may leave now. Let me remind you that if you miss this question, you will never be able to return to the ninja academy." a smirk crept across his face.

It took a minute before people started leaving. It started off with one group, and then it all kept adding up. Then, I see Sakura about to raise her hand.

What took me by surprise was that Naruto raised his hand first. No Naruto.

"I-I... I will not give up on this test. Someday, people are gonna respect me. They are gonna treat me like I'm somebody. I'm gonna be the greatest hokage ever, believe it!" his must have stricken some courage into the remaining people.

No one else raised their hands.

"You guys all pass." the instructor laughs.

"You mean all that testing was for nothing?!" Sakura yelled.

"No. It was to test to see if you have the courage in you to fight. In a real battle, you can't just back out and leave. You next exam will be tomorrow morning."

The whole class left with a relieved smile in their faces.

"That was exhausting." I say lazily.

"I know. I better get a good nights rest. See ya tomorrow." Naruto ran to wherever he lives.

"Hey Sasuke, want me to walk you home?" Sakura asked excitedly.

"No thank you. I'm walking home with Kyo." Sasuke snaked his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. Again.

It shocked me. Only Itachi ever called me that.

"Let's go, Kyo." we both turned away to go home, with his arm still wrapped around me.

I felt daggers staring into my back from Sakura.

We both got home and changed. As always, we went to my room and he sat there while I fell asleep.
