Everyone in the castle congrulated me on finding my mate and I was surprised to find out they all just assumed she was a werewolf. Many of the castle wolves including the Betas and Third In Commands in training.

Unlike the Alpha, Kent and I weren't picked by the Elders. The way we got our positions was almost like an audition. Many wolves in the Kingdom faced against each other in different ways to prove we were worthy enough to work along side the Alpha King.

In the final round, it was me against Kent and the competiton was strategy. He beat me and was crowned Beta and I got the position of third in command. The rest of the competitors either returned home or became warrior wolves.

They all asked questions like: What's she like?
How does she look?
What does her scent smell like?
Is she hot?

That last question earned a glare in response. I didn't give them the shock of their lifetime though. I wanted her to do that all on her own. To grace them with her beauty and scent of a human.

The celebration/party for us meeting was today. I had given her two days to request the day off and find a new dress for the party which I offered the castle's stylist to make for her. She declined the offer.

Over the phone, she told me what the results of requesting the day was. She explained the reason behind why she needed the day off to Dennis . Instead of giving her the day off, he gave all of his employees the day by promising to close down the diner on the day of the party. Soon after, he called me to ask if he was could join the celebration.

Also, Evan told me the day she was planning on going shopping. I made one of the warrior wolves in training follow her around. Everything she seemed to take an interest in, I made him buy it. In my room now was every jewelry known to man and about five dresses.

In the mean time while Erica and I planned the party, Alerick, Kent and a few of the doctors set out to the village to give every wolf the vaccine.

I stood in front of my full length body mirror and adjusted my dressy causal outfit by rolling up the sleeves of my long sleeve button down shirt.

I walked out my room and past my mother giving instructions on the party. I rolled my eyes at her and walked out to the front of the castle to wait for my mate and her friend.

I was pacing back and forth when Diane's red convertible pulled out. Evan hopped out wearing a dark green dress that looked amazing against her skin tone. I couldn't take my eyes off her but then Diane interrupted my thoughts.

"Hello? Can we go inside now?" I turned to her small figure to see she was wearing a red dress to match her fiery hair.

"Yea, I guess. Go on inside. I want to talk to Evan."

"You can do that now."

I felt my eyes change color so I closed them before Evan could see. I reopened my eyes before turning to Diane.

"Alone." I growled. She stepped back in fear before standing up straighter and walking inside.

I turned to Evan and she had a afraid look on her face.

"Look. I didn't mean to do that." I laughed sheepishly and ran my hand through my hair. "I didn't mean to scare her. I'm new to this whole serious mature thing. I'm used to being the funny guy in the group but everyone has to grow up right?"

She held an amused look on her face now. "I think that's the first time I ever seen her scared."

I smiled at her because this was the first time I ever seen her so relaxed. She is always so tense and shy, she was finally getting comfortable with me.

"So what you wanted to talk about?" She asked.

"When we get inside, it's going to be kind of overwhelming because this is the first time every one is meeting you. I didn't think our first date would involve you meeting my parents but..." I paused to see if she wanted to say anything. When she didn't, I continued. "My point is I want you to stay by my side and if you ever feel like you have had enough, just let me know."

She nodded her head and walked past me before turning back around. "What are they like?"

I reached out and she grabbed my hand. "Like family."

We opened the door and I saw Erica and Alerick wearing their crown and several caters working the room with plates of appetizers and drinks.

"What the hell?" I said aloud.

"Your mother wanted this." Erica said with the mind link.

"Nice castle." Diane walked over to us with a glass of champagne in hand. A group of warrior wolves walked past me.

"Humans?" I heard one of them ask.

"Your mate is a human?" Alerick asked in my head.

"Everyone!" I yelled, tired of them being in my mind. "This is Evan, my mate, my date-date and her friend, Diana."

"Diane." She said correcting me after I purposely called her the wrong name. I walked away from her still hand in hand with Evan to where Alerick and Erica was standing.

"Evan, this is the King and Queen of the castle and my close friends, Alerick and Erica Rogers."

"Nice to meet you both." Evan said before curtsying. I smiled at her cuteness before the Alphas bowed at her.

"Oh! Why are you guys bowing?"

Alerick, Erica and I all looked at each other wondering what we could say.

"It's nice to meet you too." Erica spoke up completely changing the subject. "Gary has told us so little about you; I can't wait to find out more but I'm sure you have more people to meet. Just circle back around to me and we can make a lunch date."

"That sounds like a plan m'lady." Evan said and I couldn't help laughing.

"Please just call me Erica."

"Let's go talk to my little brother and sister." I said just glad that my mother wasn't in the room right now.

"Your siblings?" She asked shyly. She was sinking back into that nervous state. I smiled at her and she smiled back before nodding her head. "Okay."

We walked over to them and I was surprised to see her still holding my hand.
