"Gary!"

I can't believe he would take to me like that.
We were equals. He might have an higher position than me but we were equals.

"Gary!" They yelled again.

The nerve to talk down to me. Infront of mate for that matter.

"Please slow down." Evan yelled alone this time. I stopped in my tracks and turned to face them. Rochelle walked up to me with confidence, as usual, as my mate waddled out of breath to where I was standing.

"Please excuse Kent's behavior. He hasn't been himself lately." Rochelle started.

"Yea Gary. Don't make what he said get to you." Evan spoke up.

"Why? What's wrong with Kent?" I said completely ignoring my mate. It was too late, what he said already got to me.

They looked at each other and for a second, it looked like they were using the mind link. Quickly I thought against the idea because Evan wouldn't be able to respond that way. I guess it was just one of those girls' thing.

"Hello? Rochelle? Why should I?"

"Kent and I have been trying to start a family. It's not really working out for us. He blames himself. He's just stressed." Rochelle explained. "He even yelled at me last night and he has never done that. He's my big softie."

"Aww." Evan said as the same time I said "Eww".

"I know you didn't just let him yell at you." I admitted. I knew Rochelle was tough. She was one of the strongest wolves we had. "What did you do back?"

Rochelle face wrinkled in concentration at the memory. "Nevermind what I did." She said switching the subject. "Just excuse his behavior."

I rubbed my eyes harshly and took a deep breath. I saw Rochelle roll her eyes and stalked off, she already knew my answer.

"Fine. Just tell him to leave Robino alone."

I finally turned to face Evan. She was staring after Rochelle.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Nothing." She just shook her head.

"No." I took a step closer to her. "Tell me."

"She's strong. You can easily tell that by just the way she walks." Evan looked up at me. "Gary? I want to be strong."

"You are." I said.

"No I'm not." She turned away from me.

"You've been through so much in the last three days, your entire life actually and you're still here."

"That's not enough. Sure I'm strong mentally but I want to be strong physically too. I want my wolf Gary. I want my wolf back. Demon wolf or not, I want to be a werewolf."

I was stunned. The idea of us having wolves together sounded amazing. But just the idea.

The reality of it was that her wolf was power hungry. The possibility of her coming after me was a little to none. But the possibility of her going after Alerick was very likely. Going after my King, my lord.

I didn't know how strong the Lycanthrope was but something called Desdemon wolf, of the devil, didn't sound weak.

"Gary?" I heard her call out.

"Yea. I mean are you sure that's what you want?"

"I mean I would prefer a wolf that wasn't evil but if that's the only one available, yea. And as we both stated, I'm mentally strong enough. I can handle it."

I was stuck between two hard places; telling my mate that getting her wolf was a great idea or the gruesome truth about her parents' death.

"I'll try and see if I can get in contact with the Moon Goddess." I finally uttered. She wrapped her arms around me and I sighed out loud before returning the hug.

"I have to talk to Robino." I said releasing her.

"Yea. Yea ok. I should call Diane. Haven't heard her nagging in a while." She laughed softly and retreated from her spot infront of me to head to our room.

I walked down the steps to the dungeon. It was the 21st century and every Alpha King has kept the modeling of the castle the same way.

The guard pointed in the direction of Robino. On my way over, I got a glimpse of Dion, Alerick's brother, cell. He didn't look so good.

"Robino?" I called out.

"Who's asking?" He said in a horrible accent.

"You guys make me being serious so hard. It's Gary."

"Hey TICK." He responded in his normal voice. I ignored the unflattering nickname and continued.

"Those wolf you overheard. What did they say exactly?"

"I heard bits and pieces. They said 'Everyone is sick.', 'This is easy', 'We're going to be rich spreading this' and 'What is this disease called again?' "

"Robino!" I yelled angrily.

"What?"

"That's not enough evidence. You're going to make me look like a fool to my Lord and prove Kent was right about me."

"Dude I'm sorry. I thought that was enough evidence." I started to retreat from his cell when I heard him call after me.

"Wait! They said one more thing."

"What?" I asked hoping it would be more helpful.

"They said she was going to make them rich."

"Wait what?"

"If everything I said to you is true, you're looking for a female that is spreading the disease. A lady."

"Robino? Do you remember what these wolves looked like?"

He placed a crooked smile on his face.

"Remember them? I believe you mean take me to them ."
