She screamed "Help" into the night and I knew she was having another nightmare. I pulled on the bedside lamp light to turn it on.

I turned to face Evan thrashing on the bed in her sleep.

"Evan. Evan, baby wake up." I shook her lightly not wanting to startle her yet I was feeling hopeless.

Her eyes flew open and they shone bright red in the dimly lit and I scooted over so quickly almost falling out of the bed.

"Evan?"

"How could Zelena? How could she get rid of me? Of her only love? I sat with the gods at a dinner table. She can't get rid of me forever. I'll be back and I'll be more powerful than ever."

I stared at Evan's lips as she spoke and another voice came out. Her body was stiff, arms limp next to her side and her eyes wide open. The red in her eyes slowly faded away as she woke up.

"Evan? Please tell me you remember that?"

"Remember what? I'm kinda still half asleep and my head hurts."

"What was your dream about?"

She sat up in bed and looked at me. "You don't want to know."

"I do Evan. What happened?" She stared at her hands before answering me.

"My nails and teeth were elongated. Blood dripping down my parted lips and my eyes a bright red color. I was ripping the head of Alerick's body and I tossed it aside to a pile of bodies." She paused. "Yours included."

"Were you going to tell me?"

"No." She answered me honestly. "I guess I'm not exactly over being accused of trying to destroy the entire existence of werewolves."

"Evan, you have to understand where I'm coming from. I barely know you and someone said.."

"Someone you know less than me told you something and you believed it!" She interrupted me and got out of bed and raised her voice. "Gary, if Diane, someone I've known for most of my whole life,  told me you were a murderer I would not believe it until I heard those words from your mouth."

"Do you care?"

She walked closer to me on my side of the bed and hesiated before laying her hand gently on my shoulder. "No Gary. I don't care about that. I just want to talk to you, to communicate with you. Every day this feels like less of a relationship and that sucks because I really really like you."

I took her hand and pulled her into my lap.
"How much do you like me?" I asked quietly.

She hid her face from me and I smiled. "A lot."

"I'm sorry that I accused you. I'm still growing as a person and I can already tell you're going to help speed up that process. I don't want to rob you a real relationship."

"You're not."

"But I am though. I think I can pause my kingdom duties for atleast a day for you. I want to spend the whole day with you tomorrow if that's okay."

She snuggled closer into my lap before answering. "I can't spend the whole day. I promised myself I would go talk to Dennis tomorrow properly about quitting the diner; I respect him too much to do what I did."

"So you know he's a werewolf?"

"I got the hint when I saw him at your party."

"How long will that take?"

"Not too long. I should be back by noon and we can do whatever you want after that."

"Whatever I want?"
Before she could answer, I pressed my lips against hers. She stayed still for a second before molding her lips against mine. She started out slow slowly inching towards me before she broke apart.
