I wanted to tell Evan to go home. That now wasn't a good time but that stupid mate bond wouldn't allow me to say it. The bond wouldn't let to push away.

I sent her into my room to play around more with the jewelry and clothing and see if they all fit while I searched for Erica. Every werewolf in the Kingdom left the public castle to hide away in Alerick's private one as soon as they were aware of Evan's return.

I used my super speed to find them all lined up ready to shift to get their vaccinations. I cringed at the thought of getting another shot.

I saw Erica at the front of the line in wolf form next to a metal table covered in robes that were to be changed into after the wolves shifted back. Her wolf looked more round than slim now which I wasn't surprised to see.

I was surprised to see Dr. Powell and Dr. Empress giving the vaccinations since they were supposed to be doing research with other pack doctors.

I walked over to Erica after she changed into her robe.

"Hey." She said softly. "Sorry to run out on you like that. I just wanted to make sure the baby was safe."

"No need to explain. Completely understand but quick question. Have you talked to the Moon Goddess yet?"

"No I'm sorry; I tried. She usually comes to me. Why do you ask?"

"Because Evan wants to talk about everything and everything includes why she doesn't have a wolf. I wanted to give her some good news but I guess I just have to tell her I stole her wolf before we were even born."

"Gary!"

"I got to go Erica." I ran quickly away back to my room.

I watched from the door as Evan lifted a shirt over her head before she quickly slipped on a new dress.

"I like that one on you." She shrieked in fear.

"Gary! Don't that do."

"Tell you the truth?" I walked over to her, grabbed her hand and stood her in front of a full body mirror. "Tell me you don't look beautiful in this dress."

She stared at herself before holding on to her mother's necklace. She shook her head gently making her hair sway.

"I'm not here to be paid compliments. Explain the werewolf thing to me." She took her hand from out of my own and sat on my bed.

"We believe in one god." I started.

"Gary I swear if you say our lord and savior Jesus Christ, I'm leaving."

"Evan listen. Please. I'm trying to be more serious." She gulped and nodded her head. "Our god, the Moon Goddess, was a witch when she was on the earth in Greece. Witches were very rare but she was special; she was more powerful than all the rest. After one man broke her heart, she cursed every one in her village to become another version of Orthrus; this time it was a two headed wolf. Half woman, half man."

Evan nodded very slowly, she was actually interested in what I was saying.

"She told the man that broke her heart to never lose one of his heads because he would be breaking her heart all over again. The other Greece civilians feared the wolves. Prayed to their gods to return them to normal. All but one feared losing his head. At that time, it was decades later and the Moon Goddess had passed away and she saw that the man she loved didn't get rid of his two heads. She rewarded him with the ability to shift between man and wolf at anytime. Everyone else in the village also had the ability and they passed it down for centuries."

"That man that she loved? What was his name?"

"Lycan."

"So Lycan was the only that knew he had that ability?"

"Yea."

"Then how does everyone know how to shift now?"

"That's enough history for one day." I admitted. My brain hurt from all that information.

"So you're my other half? Supposedly."

I stepped in between her legs. "Not supposedly. You are my other half."

"But Gary, I don't have a wolf."

"I know, I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" I stepped back from her.

"I took your wolf."

"What?"

"My wolf couldn't live without yours so I took yours." I turned away from her. I couldn't look her in the eyes.

"That's really cute."

"What? How is that cute?"

"You can't live without me." She got up and placed a hand my chest. "A piece of me will always be inside of you."

"That sounds weird." I admitted.

She laughed loudly. When she stopped, she was staring at my face.

"Gary, your nose."

"What about it?" I reached up to touch it and felt the sticky goo on my fingers.

"Are you okay?" Evan asked frantically.

"I'm sick."

"I can tell!" She yelled at me. "Lie down, I need to get you some tea." I began coughing voilently.

"Evan, you can't go downstairs."

"Why not?"

"You're making everyone sick." I coughed into my hand.

"No I'm not." She said childishly. "How can I hurt werewolves?"

"You're carrying an infection in your body that affects all werewolves. That's why all the other werewolves are in the other castle. They're all getting their vaccinations."

"Gary I didn't know. I'm so sorry."

"Technically I'm not supposed to be around you." I teased her.

"Gary! You didn't get your shot yet? Why are you still around me then?"

"Because I can't leave you alone. There's this connection with you, there's this..."

"Bond." She said finishing my sentence.

"Yea. There's this bond."
