I rolled over in the bed to be hit in the face by a pillow. I opened my eyes and remembered that she agreed to spend the night on one condition; if there was a wall of pillows between us.
I happily agreed of course because atleast spending the night with me wasn't the absolute last thing on her mind.
I sat up in the bed and looked at her. She looked uncomfortable in the limited space yet she was sound asleep. I got up quickly and moved the pillows so she could get comfortable.
Yesterday I mustered up whatever strength I had left to get my vaccinations. Again.
I was told my Alerick to return to the castle and spend the night with Evan to see if we were immuned to her now. So far no sneezing or dripping nose so I seemed to be fine.
I grabbed some casual clothes for the day and jumped into my glass sliding door shower. I took my time wanting to smell especially good for my mate.
I closed my eyes in bliss and exited my shower after reopening them.
"Dude, Please cover up." A voice said from a couple steps in front of me. The water from my hair fell into my eyes and my vision became blurry.
"Evan?" I called out. I grabbed my towel and rubbed my eyes before wrapping it around my waist.
"Oh no. Not your mate man. I'm the Moon Goddess." A short brunette with clothes from the 70s stood infront of me. She had heart shaped sun glasses, a flower head band around her head, baggy pants, a green sweater and a denim short sleeved vest jacket on.
"Zelena?"
"The one and only." She responded calm.
"What are you doing here?" I asked confused. "Wait! I didn't mean it like that."
"I heard you wanted to talk to me soo here I am, you know?"
"Oh wow. Thank you. I have so many questions."
"Slow your roll dude. Be cool. I don't usually meet with third in command of any ranking; not even the Royals. Can you dig? Don't waste my time."
"Right. Understood. What happened to Evan's wolf? Did I really take it?"
"I was scared you was going to ask that man. It's too complicated of a story."
I gripped the towel around my waist tighter. "I have time."
"Listen man. The story you're told as kids about Lycaon, my lover, is bogus. Lycanthrope is not only being able to be shift because you're under a curse. It means all powerful. Everyone wasn't scared of the wolves, they were scared of just Lycan. He wasn't a rad dude. He was the first rogue."
"Wait, what does this have to do with Evan?"
"She's a descendant of Lycaon. His blood flows through her veins."
I shook my head confused so she continued.
"From the get-go Lycaon was an evil man; I don't know how I fell for him.
He was a fox. Anyways turning him into a werewolf was my biggest regret. He became the Desdemon wolf.""Desdemom?"
"Of the devil." She whispered. "I took Evan wolf."
"What?" I yelled.
"Mellow out man. It was the only way to save her. If that wolf lived inside her for long, it would kill her. Her mother had the wolf."
"Did her mother know?"
"In a way, yes. She knew her wolf was evil, you know? She barely shifted as a sacrifice. That killed her and her mate though."
"How?"
"As I said Lycanthrope means all powerful. Between her and her mate, she had to be the stronger one. They fought to the death. Evan's dad didn't want to hurt her but he didn't want to die because he had Evan to take care of. He defeated her but neither of them made it out alive. Just some freaky deaky stuff man."
"I can't tell her parents killed each other and she had a demon wolf living inside her. Just please give her wolf back."
"No way jose. That's up to her man. I'm just providing answers."
I was staring to get pissed. "Why are you talking like this? And dressed like that? Erica never described you like this."
"You needed a calm funkadelic person to tell you this information. Now that you have it, I'm out of here. Stay groovy my friend."
She grabbed the towel from around my waist and threw it over my head. My reflexes instantly kicked in and I covered myself.
When I finally took the towel from off my head, I was back in my bathroom. I sighed in frustration. I got dressed and walked into my room to see Evan on her phone.
"Oh my gosh. Where have you been all morning?"
"I was taking a shower."
"For four hours?" I scrunched my face in confusion. I wasn't gone that long...was I? "I tried to look for you but a guard wolf with a surgical mask said I wasn't allowed to leave the room yet."
"I was with the Moon Goddess."
"Oh." She simply said.
"I guess her time is different from ours."
"What did you guys talk about?"
"You." I admitted. "Your ancestors. Your wolf. Your parents."
She groaned and fell back on the bed. m not sure what reaction I was expecting but that wasn't it.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Everything is so serious with us. This is my first real relationship." She looked at me after saying that with fear in her eyes. She looked like she was waiting for me to correct her.
"Continue."
"I thought it would be sunshine and rainbows. Ugh." She groaned again. "I sound like a fifth grader."
I laughed because she reminded me of myself so much that I couldn't help but fall for her even more.
"The best relationships are the ones that make it through the worst of situations." She grew quiet but I wanted to talk to her. "Hey let's just stay in here together all day. Just me and you. Just like a real relationship."
Even though she wasn't looking at me, I saw a smile growing on her face.
"Come lie down with me." I took a running start and jumped in the bed next to her. She started laughing and I pulled her into my arms.
"Okay, I want to talk about everything now. Will this be like pillow talk?"
I shook my head in amusement. "No we're going to have a serious conversation. Pillow talk is after something more intimate."
Her eyes widened as I pulled her closer to me.
