Love of family

Lucy's Pov:

The guild is as giddy as always. Gray and Natsu bouncing off the walls, breaking everything in their path. This must be the third time today they have fought! Everyone in the guild will end up joining in again. I love this guild but I like my face how it is now.

I'm sat at the bar with Mira, I'm sipping on my strawberry milkshake as everyone begins to brawl. "Be a man!!" "That all you got ice princess!" "Oh you're on pyro!" I turned towards Mira who seemed to just sit and watch the scene alongside me. "Here they go again Mira." I giggled. "Yeah they're really going for it today, seems like they're enjoying themselves though." She replied. "But masters wallet isn't." I snickered as I turned to the now wrecked guild hall. Just when we thought the fight would last forever, we did not count on one thing.

I watched as Natsu flung Gray towards Erza. She was just sat at a table on her lonesome enjoying some strawberry cake. It seemed to happen in slow motion as Gray fell on the table sending the cake sky high. Gasps filled the room as everyone stopped in their positions watching the cake meet its end. Cana was holding Elfman by the collar whilst Gajeel was stood behind Natsu about to attack. The cake spun delicately before making a splat sound on the floor. The guild stood silent all eyes on the now angered S-class Mage. I broke the silence "You're all screwed." I said as I sweat dropped.

In that second everything went from composed to wild as Ezra began her rampage. Soon ending with most guild members crying in pain. Everyone arose from the floor and begun fixing the tables that were now scattered around the hall. Natsu then approached me with his little blue cat Happy. "Hey guys, seems like you had fun." I spoke. "Luceeee that hurt." Natsu replied while rubbing his head. Happy turned to me and pouted. "Let me guess you want food." I sighed. They both then began to grin like idiots as they followed me out of the guild. "Bye guys." Mira said as she waved us goodbye.

We then began to walk to my apartment. I balanced on the edge of the river with Plue walking in front. Natsu and Happy walking on the pavement behind. "Be careful Lucy, don't fall in." The men on the boat shouted. "I wo-" I shouted as I stumbled on the next slab. Slipping backwards towards the river. I closed my eyes waiting for the water before I felt force on my hand. When I reopened my eyes there Natsu was sat under me. Phew thank god for that. I could've caught a cold.

I then looked down to see the position we were in and a dark red blush covered my face. Why does he have to get so close? He's just so cute and Uhhh stop Lucy stop! Natsu clicked his fingers in front of my face to wake me from my daze. He then placed me back onto my feet. "Thanks Natsu." I said giving him a warm smile. "Just doing my job." He replied. His job? His job is to stop girls from falling into rivers. Well obviously not because that would be a weird job but then again it's Natsu so.

Once we arrived at my place. I cooked Natsu some spicy chicken and found Happy some raw fish. I decided to do some reading whilst they ate. I found this book in some ruins of our last job along with some others. I'm obviously going to save the best til last. Today's book is about Zeref's magic and his curse. It would be good to know some stuff about the Dark Wizard himself.

In the end I read all types of things about his magic abilities and spells. What magic he actually created. Some theories about his curse and the cause of it. And some parts about his demons. The strongest being END. I also found a book with that title on. I'm guessing it will be about the demon but I'm weirdly really interested in this demon so I want to save it til last. Funny enough I found it on a pillar in the darkness. After reading Natsu came back into my bedroom. "Hey Luce, Happy just went home. What you been reading?" I looked up to see him shutting the door and walking towards me. "Well I just read one about Zeref's magic and abilities." He gazed up from the book to my eyes. "That's cool, hey Lucy do you think you could read me a story. I don't mind which." Natsu asked. He actually wants me to read to him, hey what about that story I wrote, he doesn't have to know what it's based on. "Yeah I have the perfect one, let me go and get it." I said as I walked over to my desk pulling it out from the draw. When I turned back Natsu was already curled in my bed leaving some space for me.

"Lucy change into your Pj's first. Then you don't have to move once you're comfy." Natsu spoke. Is he just saying that so I lay with him or is he actually being smart. Well I guess there is a first time for everything.

Natsu's Pov:

I can't believe she has actually gone to get changed. I just love her so much and it's becoming really hard to hold back. I watched her emerge from the bathroom wearing a long black shirt with her hair in a braid. And she is still beautiful. Seriously how does she do it! She came and got in the covers beside me and started reading from the book.

'There was once a princess. Most would believe her life to be perfect yet she did not. All she wanted was to be free and feel love from others around her. Explore and have many adventures. Yet the King forbade this.'

"What an arsehole, it's obviously the princess' choice!" I interrupted.

'She tried time and time again to be free. Alas she was still inside the castle walls. Trapped in the tight dresses and lonely dining hall she ate in alone. As the princess became older she found her chance and bolted from the kingdom, hiding her identity. The princess arrived in a town called Hartheon.'

"Hey that sounds like Hargeon!" I interrupted again.

'This is where she met the love of her life but he wasn't what he seemed. He was actually a dragon!'

"Woah a dragon! This is a great story Luce." I said showing her my usual grin.

'The princess and dragon went on many adventures and fell more in love with one another. The dragon and his trusty sidekick Happiness along with the princess made many memories together. They always seemed to be together and they both always smiled. Especially the princess. Whenever the dragon was around all she could do was smile and feel loved. The one emotion she begged for all her life, the dragon and his sidekick provided that. She was happier then she could ever be.'

Lucy's Pov:

I turned to the side to see Natsu had already drifted off whilst I read my story. I placed it down beside the bed and turned off the light. I snuggled down in the quilt with him. I shouldn't but I really want to. Maybe I shouldn't. "I-i just need to stay a-awakee." I yawned as my eyes flickered shut and slumber took over.
