The energy to fight

Lucy's POV:

Natsu threw us around and caused major damage upon the rest of team Natsu.
'Golden Shower' I shouted as I healed the wounds of them all, allowing them to continue fighting, healing myself at the same time. Zeref appeared back into the picture alongside his brother. I cannot let him take Natsu away from me like he has.

"Change him back Zeref, or you'll regret it." I gritted in complete anger. My body glowing from the overflow of power I had.

"LET HIM GO!" I screamed as I sent him flying out of the building, tears streaming down my face. 'Heavenly burst' I chanted as magic exploded all over his body. I lit my hands with the light magic and furiously attacked him.

"CHANGE HIM BACK!" Nobody could stop me at this point, I'd lost control. That's what I thought until END punched me away from his now heavily breathing master.

The others lay on the floor, not dead but hardly alive. Tears sprung to my eyes as I observed everything that had happened. More demons began to appear around me as Zeref's eyes flickered a dangerous glowing red. I summoned Virgo beside me to try and keep the demons at bay by digging into the ground. I knew it wouldn't last long but it's time I needed.

I used my magic to throw Natsu further away from the battle.

"Natsu, I know you're in there. Come back to me, to us, Fairy Tail." I said desperately as I avoided a dark magic attack which caught my stomach causing it to bleed. I growled as he wasn't responding.

"Please Natsu, we love you, I love you." I murmured in tears.

END growled and began to speak. "I never loved you, I never even liked you, you knew you were weak, we all thought the same thing. Honestly I was using you the whole time but now with all this power I'll never need you." He shouted in anger. I sobbed in compete agony.

"I DON'T CARE I STILL LOVE YOU, PLEASE NATSU! FAIRY TAIL NEEDS YOU!" I cried out. As our magic continued to clash. I could feel team Natsu's eyes watching us from a distance but there injuries prevented their movement towards us.

The hope I once saw in his eyes had turned to ash, as his piercing red eyes gazed into mine. They reflected the colour of the battlefield around us. As blood painted the floor. I want Natsu Dragneel back. My Natsu Dragneel!

"Tsk." Natsu said as the demons surrounded me once again. 'Arigato Virgo' I thought to myself as she'd kept them at bay for a while.

"Light asteroid field." I screamed once again knowing it was effective before. This time my magic was becoming unstable, it was growing so much I couldn't control it. I held my head in pain while Natsu still continued to hit me. Something has caused my magic to become unstable. Happy flew down towards me in an attempt to get me away from Natsu but failed as he was hit away.

"HAPPY!" I screamed as I ran towards him. Holding him in my arms I made sure he was breathing. Luckily he was. His eyes opened.

"Please Natsu~ stop, you're hurting Lushe, she loves us, you love us." Happy pleaded with the demon yet he didn't seem to care. A large concentration of black magic hit me as I heard 'Devils dark ray.' It threw me backwards a large distance dropping Happy at Natsu's feet. Zeref now standing beside him. Team Natsu and I watched in fear, as both now aimed powerful dark magic at the young exceed. Their combined aura so powerful the rest of team Natsu held their heads. I knew what I had to do.

"PURITY!" I screamed as loud as possible, the surroundings become drowned in complete white, miles of radius covered by the intense spell. Soon after, the light was replaced by blackness. The last thing I heard was them calling my name. "Luce!" "Lushe!"

Natsu's POV:

I watched as Lucy healed our friends and protected them, attempting to fight without harming me. Intense fear filled me, I was going to kill her or she was going to kill herself. Tears streamed down my face as I stood behind the glowing red glass that was my eyes. I was hurting my family, the woman I love, the exceed I class as a child. Zeref grinning beside me when all I wanted to do was kill him.

What kind of nightmare is this? I can't wake up from it. This is torture of the worst kind. After removing the rest of team Natsu from the equation, Luce and I stood against eachother.

"Natsu, I know you're in there. Come back to me, to us, Fairy Tail." She said sadly. Yet I slashed at her, blood dripping from her stomach.

"I WANT TO!" I screamed behind the emotionless killing demon that controlled me. It never reached her.

I never knew that the words I wanted to hear so badly would destroy me so much.

"Please Natsu, we love you, I love you." She shouted in sadness and agony.

"PLEASD STOP, I LOVE YOU TOO!!" I screamed as tears gushed out of my eyes. But that wasn't the message that reached her. The words that were used were not my own as the demon spoke back to her.

"I never loved you, I never even liked you, you knew you were weak, we all thought the same thing. Honestly I was using you the whole time but now with all this power I'll never need you." All the hope that was in her eyes drained, sadness and anger overtook her emotions as she began to glow gold, her powers becoming unstable.

"PLEASE STOP, SHE'S GOING TO DIE!" I cried inside my own head. Falling to my knees as I was forced to watch my worst nightmare.

Happy attempted to get her away from me. Telling me my love for her which I already knew. Yet I hit him away from me. Then I used a powerful demonic spell to launch her away from me. She struggled to move up and I bawled my eyes out at the sight of what I was doing. That's when I noticed Zeref was beside me once again, my head lowered to gaze upon the exceed on the floor. My magic building up as I knew what was about to happen.

"No, no, no, NO!" I screamed. The dark aura built up beside me as he also charged his black magic. "HAPPY RUN!" I screamed. That was my last thought before I was engulfed in pure white light. "No, Luce? Please not you!"

My surroundings cleared as Zeref turned into black dust and was picked up by the wind. All team Natsu limped towards a figure on the floor. I picked up Happy by my feet who was shaking uncontrollably.

"Happy." I cried out with my own voice.

"Natsu." He sobbed.

We both turned where we wanted to see the girl we loved but was met with nothing but a pale, bloody figure. "LUCE!" "LUSHE!"
