Zeref's attempts

Lucy's Pov:

Light shone through the window, in the inn we were residing in. Pain shot through my head as I tried to lift up, I need to master these spells properly so I am able to use them. My eyes searched the room for a certain pink haired pyromaniac, until they dropped to the bed. Where the pinkette hugged me tightly, a content smile on his face. I would Lucy kick him but I secretly enjoy it and now Happy knows. He is so going to black mail me for fish.

After escaping Natsu's grasp, I climbed into the shower and got ready for the morning. I placed on a long beige coat with a black turtle neck and light blue skinny jeans. I walked up to Happy and stroked him while he slept, he purred as I did so. I then continued on to Natsu doing the same to his soft pink hair but instead of a purr, I got "Luce." As he sighed it happily in his sleep. He was thinking about me. After placing on my boots I walked out of the door and waited patiently at the breakfast table. The team coming down one by one.

"Morning Lucy, you good today?" Gray spoke, as he was the next to arrive downstairs.

"Yeah I'm okay, thanks Gray." I replied happily.

The next people to join us were Ezra and Wendy, we spoke our good mornings as they joined us at the table. I sat on one of the end seats with Gray next to me while Wendy and Ezra sat opposite us. Next to come down were  the children of the group Natsu and Happy.

"Hey popsicle that's my seat move up!" Natsu growled.

"Who says you get to sit here fire freak, there is a spot next to me or Ezra." Gray answered.

"But that's where I want to sit Ice Princess!" Natsu returned. This then obviously led to a brawl, scared inn owners and an angry Ezra.

Natsu eventually did end up sitting next to me as he threw the food down his neck at tremendous speeds. Happy sat happily munching on his fish. (Get it 'Happily' 😉) Erza, Wendy and Gray actually ate like normal people while I nibbled on a bowl of fruit.

"This mission sucked!" I exclaimed randomly.

"Wasn't that bad." Natsu said halfway through his food.

"Well since the request wasn't real, we didn't get any jewels. Now I have no rent or no spare money." I sighed.

"It'll be fine Luce." Natsu attempted.

"That means no food Natsu." I replied.

"Ahh this is a tragedy we better go on a job right away!" Natsu exclaimed, while we all laughed at his antics.

Time skip (Guild.)
Natsu's Pov:

Once we arrived back at the guild, Happy, Luce and I were already hunting for another request. Well Luce wasn't she was interested in those books again. I need to keep her away from those spells! Hopefully a few jobs will keep her occupied enough, then I can hide them from her. I walked towards her with a new job reward in my hand.

'Water Park Crocus
We need a few mages to help occupy the water park, as a life guarding job and also attracting customers to the venue. Would be great fully appreciated.

Reward: 100,000 jewels'

"Hey Luce, look at this job request." I asked. She looked up from her book and held the job in front of her examining its contents.

"Sounds good to me!" She replied with a beautiful smile. I mean smile, yeah just smile. She walked up to Mira while holding up the request.

"We'll take this one please Mira." She spoke.

"Have fun then love birds." Mira smirked as we both blushed bright red. Wait why is she blushing. You don't think? Nah. Let's just go on this job and pay for Luce's apartment and her food. Well pretty much my food but you know.

Zeref's Pov:

She used one of those spells and lived, she completely took out one of my powerful demons. Don't forget her association with END. My brother Natsu Dragneel, she is in the way of him being at his full potential. Her power is unmatchable now, if it continues to grow she will either destroy me or herself. I need to reclaim these books off of her as soon as possible and the time is approaching.

I watched in my lacrima as her and my brother along with a stupid blue cat, set off for another mission. Crocus huh? Guess I'll meet you there BROTHER!

An assembly of demons approached as I sat in a place I could call home. They stepped forward before bowing in my presence.

"Master Zeref, which demons do you wish to accompany you on this journey?" One asked. My eyes darted around the room before landing on Myu, a dark magic user with the ability to see a persons worst nightmare and bring it to life before there eyes.

"Myu, you will join me." I requested as I stepped away from where I was sat. Power is what keeps me in control of these demons and the fact that I'm there creator. Yet Natsu was a different case, he has a whole other side to him which Igneel sadly developed. I never should've placed Natsu in his care, I would've had control of him by now.
