Is it the END? (NaLu fanfiction)

Feelings

Natsu's Pov:

I woke up with my arm wrapped protectively around Lucy's waist. Pulling her closer to me. The scent of strawberry and vanilla placed a warm smile on my face as I gazed at the sleeping figure in my arms. Her beautiful and calm face. Every time we're close like this my whole body gets tingly but it's a feeling that I love. It's like I never want her to leave my side.

I turned my head to the side to look at the clock. The time showing 10am, I wonder why Luce isn't awake? I shook off the feeling and snook out of bed arriving in the kitchen. "*grumble*" mm I'm hungry. I opened Lucy's fridge to see what was inside but there wasn't much inside. Maybe I can make some pancakes, she has some cookbooks in this cupboard. Once I had the ingredients, I made the mixture and tipped it into the pan. I waited til it had cooked on one side then attempted to flip it. "Morning Natsu." Lucy said as I flipped the pancake, I gazed at her as the pancake lost control and landed on my head.

She giggled at me whilst I pouted at her. "Here Natsu let me help." She walked over pouring some more mixture into the pan. She moved out of the way so I could take her place. I grabbed the pan and was about to flip it again when she put her hands over mine from behind. We then flipped the pancake together and it landed smoothly back onto the pan.

After eating our pancakes we got ready for the guild. She wore a plain white strapless dress that ended at her knees, it ruffled out at the waist whilst I wore the usual. We walked to the guild side by side meeting Happy at the front door. "Morning Happy." I exclaimed. "Morning Natsu. Where were you last night?" Happy replied. "Oh I fell asleep at Lucy's sorry bud." Happy nodded in return and we all walked into the guild. It seemed very quiet this morning. Everyone must be on missions.

Lucy's Pov:

I wonder where everyone is? I need to talk to Levy about Natsu. I can't stop thinking about last night and this morning. She is the only one that knows my feelings which Happy think are really obvious but I tell him it's not true. He'd tell Natsu instantly. The only people that seemed to be here were Mira, Gajeel, Juvia, Erza, Gray and Wendy plus the exceeds.

I walked to the bar and ordered my usual strawberry smoothie before chatting with Mira at the bar. "It's very quiet today, seems like everyone found a good mission." Mira looked towards me and smiled. "Yeah seems like it." I replied. "Last night I read a book about Zerefs magic and curse, it's all really interesting." I continued. "Really? Zeref is a really dark character I wonder how people know these sort of things. Well I guess Fairy Tail have encountered him more then once." Mira answered. Yeah I guess we have seen him more then wanted. I wonder why?

Erza walked over to us as we continued our conversation. "Morning Lucy, morning Mira. Hey Lucy we going on a mission today?" Erza asked. Well nobody is here and there is nothing else I need to do so "Yeah sure, got one in mind?" I replied. Erza pulled out a job request, the reward 300,000 jewels. 'Beasts are attacking our village and stealing our precious items please help.' Below it stated the address and the requester. Natsu came up behind us and glanced at the request "Is this the one we're going on?" He asked. "Yup." Erza answered. Before grabbing Gray by the shirt and asking him to join. "Hey Wendy you coming along?" I said. She nodded and headed to pack her things with Erza.

I walked home and packed some stuff for the journey. "Food for Natsu? Check. Matches for Natsu? Check. Fish for Happy? Check. Water? Check. Food for myself? Check. Finally, money? Check." I said to myself. I put on my hiking books and put on some 3/4 length jeans and a light blue shirt. I placed my belt around my waist with my keys and belt attached. "Maybe I should take a book with me for the journey?" I pondered. I quickly grabbed my new books and placed them into my bag. 'The Dark Wizards Demons' looks interesting.

After I had packed I walked towards Natsu and Happys house to go to the train station with them. *knock knock* "Hey guys you nearly ready?" I said as I walked in anyway. The door closed behind me as I saw Natsu and Happy walk up to me. "Aye Sir." Happy exclaimed. We then set off towards the train station to meet the rest of Team Natsu. Once we arrived the train pulled in to take us to Clover Town. It was quite a journey so bringing a book was a good idea.

Gray: "Natsu just get on the train!"
Natsu: "Why can't we walk!"
Gray: "Just get on stupid Pyro."
Natsu: "What did you call me snowballs?"
Erza: "Do I hear fighting?!"
Gray and Natsu: "No mam."

Happy, Wendy, Carla and I just watched as the struggle went down. Natsu and Gray ended up walking in whilst holding each other. Erza having a dark aura behind them. I sat by the window with Natsu beside me across from Erza and Gray. Happy sitting on my shoulders munching on a fish. Wendy and Carla were sat beside Natsu on the opposite side. Natsu was obviously struggling so I placed his head on my lap and stroked his pink hair. He seemed to calm down so I carried on.

(2 hours later.)

We were still on route to Clover Town. Erza had fallen asleep on the window. Whilst Gray made small ice figures with his magic. Natsu was still asleep on my lap while Happy was asleep on my shoulders. Wendy and Carla were talking about something but I couldn't quite hear it over Natsu's snoring. I decided to pull out my book 'The Dark Wizards Demons.' It spoke of the ones we fought at Tartarus like Kyoka and Franmalth even Mard Geer was mentioned.  It had all the details about them from their magic to why they were made. Who wrote these books they're really detailed? Who would know all this information? It spoke of other demons I was familiar with such as Deliora. It even said how he was defeated. These books have definitely been worked on over time but they look so old like they could've dated back hundreds of years. Maybe I'm just being weird. I read up to the page of END. I carefully read every word until I came to the subtitle weakness'.

It had no weakness' that's impossible. How can it not have a weakness, just how powerful is this demon?! As I continued to read I could see old tears marks dotting the page. Maybe someone they know were killed by this demon. I read the entire page until I came to the last line.

END is the revived brother of Zeref himself.

Revived. So he brought his brother back to life as a demon but how! How is it even possible?! I've never heard of the demon END attacking anything or being involved in any schemes. Is his demon locked away? Or does it kill all witness'? Even reading about it scares me.

I was brought out from my thoughts by Natsu. He didn't seem sick. "Lucy you're shaking." I noticed as I shut the book and glanced down at him. "Sorry I didn't know." I replied. "Everything okay Luce?" He asked. That damn cute nickname, why is he so adorable?! "Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I answered. He nodded before placing his head back down in my lap. I rested my arms on the table and drifted to sleep in them whilst gazing out of the window.
