~The next morning~

Natsu's Pov:

I woke up with my head pounding and my limbs severely aching. I guess END taking control actually took a lot out of me. My eyes opened the slightest amount to observe everything around me. I looked round, laid out in the middle of the luxurious queen sized bed. In my arms was the pale but beautiful Lucy Heartfilia, mine and Happy's saviour . Happy was curled up on her chest, AGAIN! Light peered through the window, the orange glow informing me the sun had just risen. I don't think I have ever woke up this early, they told me it might take days for Lucy to wake up, but I can't help but admit I was hopeful I'd see her chocolate brown eyes staring into mine this morning.

I sat up on the bed, placing Lucy to the side of me along with Happy. I decided to get up and get ready early so we can be ready to take Lucy back to Fairy Tail. I hopped into the shower, washing my hair which still would not stick down, even in the water. Before getting changed, giving Lucy and Happy a kiss and proceeding down stairs.

Erza's Pov:

I waited downstairs for everyone to get up, as I got my lacrima out calling the guild. Mira answered even though it was early morning. She had to be in for all the early morning drinkers like Cana and Macao.

"Hey Mira, we're going to be on our way back to Fairy Tail sometime today, can you contact Porlyusica and ask her to meet us there?" I asked.

"Why did something happen Erza? Are you all alright?" She questioned, fear evident on her face.

"It is now, we just ran into A LOT of mishaps, its going to have to be a long story for now. I'll explain it when we get there." I answered, ending the call.

When I looked up again, Gray stood before me waiting at the dining table, he frowned as he placed himself on the chair opposite to my own.

"Its been tough." I said in a lower voice trying to break the ice. (aha get it ICE)

"She died Erza, I care about her so much, even that flame headed idiot. He was END, he hurt us, her. Psychically and mentally, its going to be hard to forget about this, especially Natsu he must feel so guilty. Heck I do for not being able to do anything." Gray exasperated.

I sighed I couldn't say much I felt exactly the same, looks like Wendy did too as she joined us with the same sour expression. Carla trying to cheer her up. Food was finally served, along with Natsu joining us. I mean I expected it, its still the same Natsu. He sat down next to me, I expected him to start stuffing his face yet he didn't even touch his plate. His face reflected pure sadness, drained like an empty canvas.

"C'mon Natsu, we need some energy to get back to the guild." I told him. He still sat there deep in thought, I'm honestly not surprised he's been through a lot.

"Natsu it's okay, she's okay you don't have to feel guilty for this." Gray tried to help. The answer was not one we expected.

"Don't you understand Gray, I killed my own fucking mate, I nearly killed all of you, my own exceed. I had to watch it all and not be able to do anything, all those hurtful things I've said, I haven't even had the chance to tell her it wasn't me." Natsu seethed. "Because even though I said all those horrible things to her, she still risked her life for mine and Happys. For all of us, I just hope nothing is wrong with her."

Everyone kept quiet taking in every word and every ounce of sadness the dragon slayer let off. Still having to inform the guild of what's happened.

"What if they're scared of me Erza, what if they hate me for what I've done, we have to tell the guild eventually." Natsu continued. "What if she's scared of me Erza, what if she won't come near me after this because of what I've done." He shook as tears began to stream down his face once more.

I got up from my seat and wrapped my arms around Natsu, he was shaking so much it shook me aswell. "We're all here for you Natsu." I said quietly, just enough to hear it but you could doubt that I said it.

~After Breakfast~

Natsu's Pov:

We headed back up to Lucy's room after eating, Happy was awake and waiting for us on the chair next to the bed. His paw was laid on her hand. He must feel just as guilty as I do, he was the reason she decided to use the spell but we wouldn't be in that situation if it wasn't for me.

I gently untucked her from the blankets, while Happy placed himself on my head. She lay bridal style in my arms til we made it downstairs, a soft gold glimmer still held its place around her. Her magic presence still very large to be around. I held her close to me, scared she was going to leave again.

Hisui approached us, a sad look in her eye. "Lucy's bag is here, it has all the spells she's been using and lots of information on demons. After what has happened, I am entrusting this information strictly to the Fairy Tail guild. You must keep these safe and you must keep Lucy safe. The book did not speak of any side effects, except the fact Purity should've taken her life." Hisui informed us. "I wish you all luck on your journey, I will personally come to visit her in 2 weeks time."

"Thank you princess." Erza said, taking Lucy's bag from her hands.

She walked us to the carriage she had set up for us, as we all got inside one by one. Finally waving goodbye to the castle and heading back home. Lucy was still pale laid in my arms, but beautiful because her face held a smile. Happy cuddled onto her with me in the back of the carriage, while Gray held tightly onto her hand.

I'll let him off this time because I know he's been effected too. Wendy and Erza were in the front trying to get back to Fairy Tail soon so that Porlyusica could look at Lucy. Hopefully this ride goes soon, I still feel sick.
