"I say that you should pick this one because that one that you're choosing is complete bullshit." Karlos says, chucking the book he chose to me and snatching the book I have on my hand away. We've been bantering of which book was to be borrowed from the library and by the looks of it, none of us would give up on the book we chose. We were paired up for term papers for Literature.

"Karlos, that one is action-themed! We need something that is romantic because that is for the term papers, you idiot." I hissed at him and snatching the book I was holding a while ago back from his grasp.

"But that thing has some hint of romance too! It's just a little cooler because it is action packed as well." He says, rolling his eyes.

I looked at the two books that I hold. One was the Divergent and the other was The Fault in Our Stars. I chose TFIOS because as our prof said, we need a romantic novel that shows how much someone can do for his/her significant other. Karlos, however, chose Divergent because of Four and Tris's romance by the middle and the whole action scenes in the book.

"Andromeda, we don't need to settle on the purely romance filled book," Karlos sighs, trying to convince me to the book of his choice. "We only need some sort of a book that can establish or prove or just show romanticism." He pinpoints. "If we choose TFIOS like how you're doing right now, we'll have to summarize the whole book and that would be a whole heck of work because it's filled with cheesy shits! And since you've been working too, it would consume a lot of your time and don't you think it would affect the time of your sleeping and resting?"

I sighed, giving up. "Fine." I groaned whilst Karlos plastered an annoying I-just-won smile on his face.

It has been a couple of weeks since I moved in and since the time when Karlos told me a part of himself. And since a couple of weeks have passed, the professors have been overloading us with term papers, baby thesis, course works and other more. I managed to stay ahead though, thanks to the syllabus that was handed to us.

Also, a couple of weeks have passed since I got a part time job in a café nearby. I got the idea from Karlos whom was also working part time for additional money for his schooling and for his sister too. His sister was so young and is always left in a day care or if he's lucky enough, a baby sitter. He said it was convenient for him, saying that he could save up money for his sister before she grows up and starts to go to actual school in the future. Karlos said that he'd be over with his study career by then and hopefully be financially stable for him and his sister's sake.

"Great! Now give me the book so I can sign the BORROW LOG on the desk." Karlos snaps me back to life.

I nod and hand him the book. "I'll wait by the entrance."

He agrees and takes the book then heads to the desk of the librarian. I, on the other hand, went on my way to the main door of the public library we were into to wait for him in the entrance. It's been a while since I last talked to Darren, so I thought giving him a text would fit.

I miss you. I hope to see you soon. A xx

I pressed the send button and leaned on the massive wall of the front part of the library. Strangers passed by every now and then as I waited for the curly haired boy that has he book we need for Literature. Karlos finally exits with the book on hand and a receipt that proves that we borrowed the book from the library with permissions.

"I believe that we both have the same schedule right? So that means the rest of the time of the day is ours?" he asked, squinting his small eyes smaller to rid the bright rays of sun that peeks through the roof of the library.
