Make it to me – Sam Smith

I can't help but smile when I waved to Darren for the last time. Our time in the café was over and he said he has to get home before it gets darker. Better in ways, our time is finally over, I am finally free. Karlos and I are finally free.

I got in my car and exhaled. Normally, girls would be crying their eyes out when they just got from a broken relationship. They would normally ask themselves whether where they gone wrong. I, on the other hand, was delighted that I have cut myself some slack and now I am out of relationship. I'm no longer with Darren.

I roared the car to life and went to my way to Karlos. Their house was coming into sight and soon enough, the car was pulled by the curb and I was already on my way to their front step.

The door opened before I can even knock. Colleen hugged my legs immediately. "I missed you!" she exclaimed then let go of my legs. "Come on in!"

I laughed at how energetic she could be at most times. "Where's your brother?"

"In his room, playing." She said.

"I'll go play with you later, okay?"

She nods at me and started to go somewhere in their house. I on the other hand, went upstairs and walked over the small hall to get to the grey door that will precisely lead me to Karlos's bedroom. I opened the door and was greeted by mellow guitar strums and a wonderful singing voice.

My mind runs away to you, with the thought I hope you'll see.

Can't see where it's wandered to, but I know where it wants to be

I'm waiting patiently, though time is moving slow.

I have one vacancy, and I wanted you to know...

That you're the one, designed for me.

A distant stranger, that I would complete.

I know you're out there, we're meant to be.

So keep your head up. And make it to me.

I stayed at the door frame, just listening to him. I noticed that it was another SamSmith song, since he seemed to have a thing for that singer. I couldn't blame him. SamSmith's song lyrics were really heart warming.

So sick of this lonely air, it seems like a waste of breath.

So much that I need to say, so much to get off my chest.

I'm waiting patiently, though time is moving slow.

I have one vacancy, and I wanted you to know...

That you're the one, designed for me.

A distant stranger, that I will complete.

I know you're out there, we're meant to be.

So keep you're head up. And make it to me.

My feet dragged me to him, walking ever so lightly. His solemnity and concentration was something too heartbreaking to destroy. Karlos continues to strum his guitar and keeps on doing this gentle hums, then made the last strum to close the song. I clapped.

"Well, I made it to you." I teased and referred to the lyrics of the song, smiling up to him. I was quite a tall girl, but Karlos was massive and even with my fair height, he still manages to tower me.

"Glad you did," he said then pecked me on the lips.

"I have news." I told him.

His smile brightens a lot more, "Me too,"
