Almost There

Time flew a little and now I'm at 6 months. My belly is a bit more noticeable now. Part of pregnancy is this thing called edema. It's where the hands and feet swell from retaining body fluids for the baby. I absolutely hate it...but that's not all. Andy is scared of how much I've eaten. My definite increase in appetite scares him because I'm eating for two and that's a large amount of food. I've also started snoring. Before the pregnancy, I slept silently, but now, I'm a complete dragon when sleeping. Like I told Gerard when I was three months along, I have back aches now. It really sucks! I have no idea how my mom handled this! She was a very fashionable woman who wore rompers with stilettos, crossed her legs when sitting, and always looked her best. I can't work rompers with this belly, sitting with my legs crossed increases straining, and stilettos increase straining too. Right now, I've resorted to walking around my house with sweatpants and a comfy shirt. If I couldn't find a comfy shirt, I'd walk around without a shirt. Fuck it. I've lost a lot of sleep and I developed insomnia, can't sleep at night. I take short naps throughout the day.

The time is currently 3:38AM and I'm just walking around the house. Andy and Raina are fast asleep in our bedroom. I have about three more months until this child comes into the world. Andy said that I should pick a room for the baby's nursery, so that what I'm looking for XD. The nursery should be close to us, so I'm looking at the guest rooms next to our rooms. The one in front of us or the one beside us is fine. What color should it be? Not pink, cuz we're betting. Not blue, cuz we're betting. We're waiting for the second the baby is born to find out the gender. So it should be neutral. Orange? No. White? Nah that's boring. Green? I mean...that's a boys color. Yellow? Well...I feel like that's neutral. Yellow it is XD. I walked into the room next to our room and picked that one. I imagined the crib in the corner with a rocking chair, cute little carpet in the middle, baby toys, Andy getting the baby out of the crib and getting it to stop crying...I can't wait to see that. "(Y/n)..." Andy called for me, groggily. "Yes?" I rubbed my stomach, turning around to see him at the future nursery's door. "Come to bed. You don't have to go to sleep if you can't. Just come lay down with me, I don't like feeling your absence in bed. Keep yourself entertained with Pinterest or something, but please lay down with me." He pleaded. I laughed softly and walked over to him. "Ok...lets go to bed." I took his hand and led him to bed. We laid down next to each other. Andy kept one hand on my stomach and went to sleep peacefully once again. I set my hand on top of his...he's gonna be such a great dad. I got on Pinterest and looked at nursery ideas, what I should eat, and what I can do to ease the back aches.

Sunlight crept into the room as the sun rose into the sky. That's my queue to take a nap, I really do feel quite sleepy.

I woke up to sunlight hitting my eyes. (Y/n) probably just fell asleep. I should make her something to eat for when she wakes up. I slowly got out of bed, trying not to wake her. I took Raina outside, fed her breakfast, made myself something to eat, then...I cooked a buffet for my queen and little prince or princess. It's...it's gonna be a princess. Just sayin. She's got about three months left! Oh! So excited!! We've gotta have a baby shower. I'll wait for (y/n) to wake up so we can talk about it. Just as I started thinking about the baby shower in more detail, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I ran to the stairs and met my wife half way. "Good morning, my queen!" I greeted her, taking her hand and kissing it. She took a good two hour nap. "Good morning, my amazing, caring king." She kissed my head. I led her down to the kitchen where she just dove into the food I prepared for her.

4 eggs, 3 waffles, 2 glasses of orange juice, and 1 piece of toast later, she sat down on the couch, cuddled up with a blanket. "So, babe, I was wondering about when we'd have a baby shower." I started. She smiled at the idea. "Ok...well most people have baby showers one month before the baby is due. When my belly is at one of its biggest forms. So one month before." She said. "Right! So two months from now?" I asked. "Yup! And since we're waiting for the baby's gender until birth, I was thinking the color could be yellow. It's neutral." She suggested. "Yea! Yea, I think so too. Oh, have you chosen a room for the nursery?" I asked. "Yea, I have. I choose the room next to us. The walls can be yellow, we need a crib, rocking chair, baby toys, lots of baby stuff." She laughed. I laid my head on her lap and faced her stomach, nudging it and kissing it repeatedly. "I can't wait for this baby to be born. I wanna hold her, kiss her, feed her, cheer her up when she's cranky, play with her..." I listed. "Uh-you mean hold him, kiss him, feed him, cheer him up when he's cranky, and play with him." She corrected me. I shook my head at my stubborn wife, not accepting that this child will be a girl. She shook her head back at me for not thinking its a boy. I got a phone call, so I went to answer. "Hello? Hey, Jake! What's up?...nah, not doing anything...ok, that's fine..yea, we'll be here...ok, bye." I hung up. "What did Jake want?" (Y/n) asked. "Him and the guys wanna come over to see how you're doing." I smiled. "Aw! Cool." She nodded. She went back to sleep on the couch, Raina rested her head on (y/n)'s stomach. I took a quick picture of this adorable sight and did the dishes.

I woke up to lots of people chatting. I opened my eyes and I was surrounded by Andy and his friends. "Hiiiii." They whispered to me. "Hey." I said. "How ya feelin', girly?" Ashley asked. "Hungry...Andy, can you get me something?" I asked. Everyone laughed as Andy left to get me a snack. "Can we feel the baby?" They asked. "Sure, go on...touch." I urged them. Each one of them took turns rubbing my belly, gasping at how it felt. "I wanna see him so bad." CC said. "You agree it's a boy?" I asked. He nodded in response. "Who thinks it's a boy and who thinks its a girl?" I asked. CC, Jake, Jinxx, and I raised our hands for a boy. Andy and Ashley raised their hands for girl. "HA! So most of you think it's a boy! Suck my dick, Andy!" I laughed. "I would if you actually had one, baby, but I know for a fact that you do not have a dick." Andy licked his lips. I sighed at him, giving him my death stare. Andy winked at me, giving me a playful smile. "Andy, stop. Why is that every time we're here, you get kinda sexual?! GOD." CC sighed. We laughed at him. I messed with his hair. "CC come here, your hair is long as fuck and I wanna braid it." I said. CC sat down in front of me and I got to work. While I braided his hair, I was asked bunches of pregnancy questions. What hurts? Everything. Is Andy scared? Yep. Are you scared? Kinda, but not really. When are you due? Three months. What are the baby names? Luna for girl, Gerard for boy. Can we be uncles too? Sure, why the fuck not.

I finished braiding after a while. CC has long hair. CC stood up and looked in the mirror. "OH HELL YEA!!! Guys, I can rock the fuck out of these braids. I should wear them regularly." CC whipped his hair all over the place. I laughed at how funny he was. My baby is going to have the best family ever. Loving mommy and daddy, funny uncles, awesome grandparents...he's going to be very happy here.
