Luna has grown beautifully in these past 5 years. Her features are definitely more visible. She has my eyes, Andy's hair color, my nose, and my smile. She has both Andy's and my personality. She repeats everything I say...so now I've gotta watch my mouth, Andy too. She's sweet, silly, funny, crazy (that's from me), and she's just the greatest kid in the world. She likes to play outside, catch bugs, play with Raina, and sing with Andy and I. Today is her first day of school...like actual school. Not preschool, its kindergarten. I'm waiting for her at her bus stop, if I'm not at the bus stop when she gets dropped off, the bus driver will take her back to school, so I can pick her up. So here I am, waiting for my little Luna. It's pretty warm outside, and of course, I'm wearing all black. Band tee, ripped jeans, red and purple hair, septum, the usual. I heard Luna's loud bus coming down the street, screeching loudly when it stopped in front of me. The doors opened and after a few moments, Luna hopped out. The bus driver gave me a kind of weird look. I have a job as the manager of Hot Topic, I couldn't be there for when Luna was picked up. Andy could though, so he waited with Luna for her to get picked up. Now I'm here for Luna to get dropped off and the bus driver must be thinking:
Both parents are like that? All black, weird hair, piercings? Ew.
But whatever. Luna came running to my arms. "HI, BABY! HOW WAS YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL?" I asked, so very happy to see her. "Mommy! I had so much fun! I made a friend. Her name is Jessie." She told me. "That's awesome, Luna! Maybe I can meet Jessie's mom and you and Jessie can have a sleepover sometime." I said, picking her up. She wrapped her legs around my stomach, and her arms around my neck. She then, gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, mommy." She thanked me. One of the best things about being a mom is you get double love. Love from the hubby and love from the kid. I kissed her back as we got closer to our house.
"Babe, we're home!" I called Andy. He came running down the stairs to greet me and his child. "Mommy! Luna! My giirrrllllssss!!!" He hugged us, kissed us, and asked Luna how her day was. She again, told him what she told me. But after telling him how her day was, she whispered something in his ear and giggled, glancing at me. Andy chuckled and walked to me. "She says you're the most beautiful mommy on earth." He smiled. He put one hand on my hip and pulled me close, bringing me into a kiss. "Mommy loves daddy and daddy loves mommy." She giggled. "And we love you too!" Andy and I said in unison. We do that more frequently every day. We then attacked Luna with kisses all over her face.

Later that night, it was my turn to put Luna to bed. She has a hard time sleeping by herself. She tells me it's her thoughts that keep her up very late. My poor Luna. Her and I went to her room. I helped her into her pajamas and laid her down. She still has her Galaxy bedroom, now with a twin bed, a dresser, Monster High dolls, and a red lava lamp. "Mommy...can you tell me a bed time story?" Luna asked. "The ones you like, right?" I asked. She nodded and smiled. "Ok...hmm...alright, I've got one. There once was a town, and in this town, there was a bridge. One Halloween night, a boy and his friends went trick or treating. He and his friends all rode on their bikes and had lots of fun. When they were done trick or treating, it was very late. Almost midnight. He uses that one bridge to get back to his house. On his way back home, he rang his bicycle bell, smiling on his way over the bridge. On the other side, he could see a dark figure, standing there, not moving. As the boy got closer, the figure inched closer to the end of the bridge. When the boy was riding past the figure, the figure yanked the boy off of his bike. The figure then, took out his knife and slit the boy's throat lots of times, blood gushing out of the cuts. He let the boy fall to the ground and then the figure threw the boy off the bridge. The boy's body was never found. And now...whenever anyone starts crossing the bridge, they'll hear the boy's bicycle bell and they'll see the figure waiting for them on the other side. Once you see the figure, he'll come for you. It doesn't matter how fast or how far you run. You'll always end up back at the bridge. You'll always see the figure. And the figure will always kill you." I ended the story on a scary note. Luna clapped her hands together. "Another story! Another! That one was awesome!" She exclaimed. "It's very late, Luna. You have school tomorrow and I have work tomorrow. We both need to go to sleep now." I fake yawned. "I get to go back tomorrow??? Yay!!! I get to see Jessie again!" She cheered. I laughed softly at her excitement. "Yea. Ok, baby, I need to go to bed now. You need to go to bed too. I'll see you tomorrow at the bus stop. Have sweet dreams, my little Luna." I kissed her forehead. "Night, mommy." She kissed my cheek.
