I had finished hanging my fairy lights when my new roommate walked in. "Hi, are you Lily Payne?" She asked me and I nodded. "It's so nice to meet you!" She cheered and gave me a hug. This girl was gorgeous, her long brown hair framing her body and her tan skin making her look really pretty.
"I'm Camilla St. Carter." She said after letting go of me, "Well you already know my name." I laughed and she joined along. "How awesome is it that we both have accents?" She laughed and I nodded. "Where are you from, again?" I asked her.
"Melbourne, Australia. My dad told me I could go to college anywhere I wanted so here I am." She laughed, I thought Camilla was very interesting. Her Louis Vuitton suitcases gave me the hint she was rich, but I didn't care the slightest about money.
"I'm from London, decided I wanted to live with my mother and brother again." I said while laying out my white fluffy blanket on my bed. Camilla nodded interested and then decided to look at how much I had already decorated our pretty big room.
Luckily, because my mother was dating the dean, I had gotten a bigger room than any other freshman has probably ever had, and probably because Camilla's parents were pretty rich, she had also gotten an upgrade.
We had a living room area, small mini kitchen, sleeping area with desks and closets and then also our own bathroom. I was so happy, I was not looking forward to having to share showers. "So what course are you taking?" She asked me.
"Psychology." I smiled. I was happy, I liked it. Camilla was trying to lift her huge suitcase on to her bed so she could start with unpacking, but so far her arms were not ready to handle the heavy weight. "Let me help you." I laughed.
I picked up the bottom of the suitcase and together we laid it down on her bed. After a lot of laughing we catched our breaths. "Thanks, I packed way too much." She laughed. "I just really like clothes and shoes and- basically everything." She spoke.
There was a knock at our doorframe and we both looked up to the open door. "Hi, I'm Ali." She smiled and I smiled back. "Hi, you were the long lost friend" I laughed and she nodded. I walked over to her and gave her a hug. Ali was basically the only female friend my brother and his friends had. She had been in Spain until a few days ago, that's why I hadn't met her yet. I looked at her while she followed me in to the bedroom, where Camilla was struggling with her clothes. Ali was tall, fit and had really long blonde, almost golden, locks.
"It's really nice to finally meet you, Liam and his friends talked about you almost every day." That made Ali laugh, "they basically act like my brothers sometimes, can get a little annoying." She said, staring at Camilla. "Hi, I'm Camilla." She said, giving Ali a hug and then staring at her suitcase again, letting out a deep sigh.
"I just came to see if you guys needed any help?" She asked, playing with the hem of her red leather jacket. "I think Camilla needs some help unpacking." I chuckled, pointing at the oversized suitcase filled with clothing. "I love clothes!" Ali laughed and started helping Camilla unpacking.
After an hour of so, Camilla and Ali had finished the second suitcase and Camilla had begun with hanging up her own fairy lights. "I brought some vases and stuff for the living area, by the way." Camilla said while grabbing them from a box that said fragile.
I laughed, she literally brought her whole home.
I helped her arrange them and then we stared at the room. The wall besides her bed was still empty, because she had three paintings that she wanted to hang up. "Hey I was thinking maybe I could show you guys around campus in the afternoon?" Ali said and I smiled.
"I would love to, so far I've only seen Rob's office and the dorms." I groaned and Ali laughed, "I guess it must be weird to have the dean as stepfather." She said and I nodded, even though him and my mum weren't married I had no other idea how else to describe him, so stepfather would do.
"Well, I'm almost finished and ready to go, then." I said after we helped Camilla putting up the paintings. We high fived each other, because our room was finished and looked amazing.
I grabbed my black slip on vans that I was wearing previously and the black fedora that I had taken off because it was annoying me whilst unpacking. "Camilla are you ready?" I asked her and she nodded, quickly grabbing her bag, I did the same and we walked out the room, following Ali out of the hallways.
Outside, it was still people everywhere, walking around to discover campus and move in to the dorms. People immediately noticed Ali, almost like she was some celebrity. "They act like you're famous." Camilla laughed and Ali groaned, "They think they should, because they think I'm the most popular girl or something."
Ali was really sweet, I always thought the popular girls were rude and arrogant, but she was the total opposite. "Let's go!" She laughed and we followed her. It was weird to already have two girls on my side, but I was sure they were going to become my friends.
Our heels making a soft sound on the concrete, we walked towards the main building. "Ali!" We heard, making us turn around. "Louis!" Ali laughed and walked over to Louis, who was walking over to us as well, followed by the others. "I was giving them a tour." Ali smiled while giving all of the boys a hug. "Wait so you didn't even come say hi, you just went to my sister straight away, that's kind of rude." Liam laughed while giving Ali a hug.
"Hey Lily!" Louis yelled and ran over to me to give me a hug, I grinned, hugging him back. "Wait guys!" I said, the others looking up. "This is my roommate, Camilla!" I smiled and grabbed her arm softly. "That's my brother, Liam." I said, pointing at him, "And these are his friends." I smiled.
Camilla nodded and introduced herself. I walked over to Liam, who was just casually standing. "Hey bro." I laughed and he put his arm around my shoulders, giving me a side hug. "Hey sis." He smiled and kissed my temple. We just stared at his and now my friends, they were talking about their summer and the upcoming school year.
"I'm so happy you're here." He smiled and I laid my head on his shoulder. "Me too. I already like it here." I said while staring at Camilla who was having a very nice conversation with Louis and Niall whilst Ali and Harry were chatting and laughing whilst pointing at her phone.
I was going to like it here, a lot.
