Liam and I climbed back in to his car and both let out a sigh. "So." He started saying, in the meantime I just furrowed my eyebrows. "So." I replied, still a little dazed.
"We're getting a new father." Liam said, making me frown, not the correct choice of words if we're being honest. "Stepfather, Li." I said, looking straight in front of me.
"I'm happy. For mum, for us, Rob really is a great guy." Liam said. I nodded, looking out of the car window at the porch with two expensive cars parked, Liam and I sitting in a third expensive car. "I mean, everything he promised us, it's a little of a lot. Like he wants to buy our love." I said, furrowing my eyebrows.
Liam nodded slightly, "summers in Bali, a new car when I turn nineteen, winterbreak skiing in the North of France with all of our friends." I trailed off. "I mean, we can tell him we don't want any of it, but that would make us look ungrateful." I said.
"You're making this too big of a deal, he just wants us to know he loves us. He doesn't see his own daughter very often so he wants to spoil us a little bit." Liam said, finally starting the car. I put my seatbelt on and nodded.
"You're right. Now let's enjoy the bonfire!" I clapped my hands and Liam piled on to the main road. "Just in time for the sunset." Liam said, staring out of his window, while we drove past the beach. Rob's house was just off campus and very close to the beach.
I grabbed my phone and shot a picture and waited until he parked his car. Then I quickly jumped out, fixing my dress and layered necklaces. "Let's go." Liam said, slipping his arms across my shoulders and pulling me along to the beach.
"Payne!" We both looked up, seeing a few people waving at us. "Hi!" He waved back, making me do so too. We continued walking until we were at a tiki hut. "Wow who put this here?" I asked, noticing the Theta Tau Xi sign on the front. "I paid Haz a few extra bucks if him and Lou could set it up." Liam laughed, walking inside.
We were met with lots of bean bags and pillows and over all a very bohemian vibe.
"It is the Payne Family! Finally!" Louis yelled, running over to us and giving us both a hug. "Is this some kind of exclusive VIP section? I am so confused." I said while hugging him. "It is, actually." Louis laughed.
I then hugged Harry as well and Ali took ahold of me as soon as Harry had let go of me. "Welcome, Lily." Niall smiled, giving me a hug as well. "Hi Niall," I smiled.
"When is the bonfire starting?" I asked, sitting down in a beanbag next to Ali. The Tiki Hut had half walls so you could still look outside, which was perfect because we could see the sunset. "Once the sunset is over." Ali whispered, looking at Liam and Harry who were doing some weird dance.
"And where are the drinks?" I asked, "oh they are a three tiki huts down." Niall said, making me nod. I stood up, "you want me to come with you?" He asked, standing up as well. "Oh no I'm fine, thanks." I smiled, patting his shoulder and walking out of the tiki hut.
The sun was now quickly setting. I passed the other tiki huts and almost arrived at the bar when there were two hands wrapped around my waist and I was pulled inside another dark Tiki Hut. I squealed and tried to scream but one hand was placed on top of my mouth.
Once the door closed the person let go of me and turned on the little fairly lights, revealing himself.
"Z!" I whisper-yelled, hitting his upper arm. "Shh." He hushed me, wrapping his arms back around me and giving me a hug. "Told you, you should watch your back." He laughed, holding on to me.
Once he let go of me, I stared in to his eyes. "So what gives me these honours?" I asked him, taking a step closer so our bodies were almost touching in this small space, I still had no idea where I even was.
"I just wanted to say hi." He said, grabbing one of my hands. I smiled and placed my head on his chest again, wrapping the other arm around his waist. "Hi." I said when he let go of my hand and wrapped his arms around me again.
I loved his hugs, he smelled so good. It just sucked that we couldn't do these types of things in the public.
"You look pretty good tonight." He said, letting go of the hug and grabbing ahold of my hands, twirling me around. I giggled, stopping mid-turn with my back against his chest. We softly swayed to the music coming from outside.
"Lily?" A sudden yell made us let go of each other, as I ducked down on the ground, staring through the creek in the wall outside. It were Louis and Liam, looking for me. "Shit." I whispered. Zayn's hand placed itself on my back as he ducked down next to me. His hot breath against the back of my neck trying to distract me.
"Payne that is the men's bathroom why would she be in there." I heard Louis say from basically in front of me. I widened my eyes and turned around, bumping my nose against Zayn's nose.
"You pulled me in to the men's bathroom!" I whisper yelled again, staring in to his eyes, his face was so close. "It's a tiki bathroom I thought you'd be okay with it." He chuckled softly. I rolled my eyes, he was too much sometimes.
"She'll come back Liam, she can't just disappear." Louis said, I didn't break the stare I had going on with Zayn whilst we listened to my brother and Louis. "I just wish she was there when we lit the bonfire." Liam said, making me bite my lip. I hear footsteps disappear and let out a breath.
"I should go, if they're going to turn on the bonfire, I can not miss that." I said, trying to get out of Zayn's grip. "Wait." He breathed out, lust filling his eyes, pulling my body closer and finally placing the long awaited kiss on my lips.
I went along with it and held on to his big upper arms while his hands roamed my back. I didn't know I wanted this but now that it was happening I wanted nothing more. "Zayn." I whimpered, disconnecting the kiss and laying my head in the crook of his neck while he placed more kisses on my neck.
"Come on Lils." Zayn groaned, putting his hands on either side of my face and placing his lips back on mine. I switched position and was now sat on his lap, playing with his hair.
Suddenly there was a loud cheering, making us jump and break apart again.
"I'm guessing that was the bonfire." Zayn said, looking over my shoulder to see through the creek in the door. I placed one of my hands on his jaw, staring at the tattoo he had on the side of his head before making his eyes connect with mine. "I really have to go." I said, biting my lip.
He nodded, placing one last kiss on my lips. I then started standing up, fixing my dress and taking my hands through my hair. Zayn got up as well, smiling at me. "Does my makeup look okay?" I asked him, I didn't want my brother to notice a difference. "Perfect." Zayn smiled, placing a kiss on top of my head and opening the door.
I stook my head out, seeing everyone crowded around the bonfire, nobody would notice me. I turned around to see Zayn had closed the door again, after all it was the men's bathroom.
I walked back over to the main area where people were now dancing around the bonfire.
"There you are!" I looked up to see Liam frowning at me. "Hey Li." I said, walking towards him and the others. "I thought you were getting a drink?" Niall asked, furrowing his eyebrows. I scrunched my face for a second and then nodded, "I already finished it." I said, smiling.
"Where were you, you missed the lighting of the fire." Liam said, staring at me. "I bumped in to some classmates and we started a conversation." I said, smiling. Then I turned away and walked over to Ali.
"Hey!" She smiled, letting go of the boy she was dancing with and grabbing my hand. "Have you seen Cam?" She asked me, making me furrow my eyebrows. "That's weird, she was all emotional today, I thought she would be okay in time for the party but I guess not." I replied, a little confused.
"Oh well, maybe she had a rough day." Ali said, pulling me back over to the bar. "Too bad, she would have loved this bohemian tiki-vibe." I said, staring at all the detailing of the decorations. Ali nodded, once we passed the men's bathroom Zayn decided to come out. I widened my eyes, he almost bumped in to Ali. "Ew." She said, rolling her eyes and pushing past him.
Zayn's eyes turned dark and angry, looking at Ali. I tried to connect our stares but he wasn't having it. I chose to ignore it and continued walking with Ali to get drinks. This boy was something different.
