Everybody had their jaw dropped, their eyebrows furrowed and their minds confused.
I stood there, a small and nervous glimpse of a smile displayed on my face. I had no idea what to do, was Liam going to get angry at me for coming here, was he going to wrap me up in his arms and tell me he will never leave me out of his sight ever again. Did Niall keep his promise of keeping his mouth shut?
"Hello son." My father spoke, breaking the silence. Liam's face was filled with a big grin as he rushed over to him and they gave each other a big hug. Everybody slowly began talking again, whispering rather. I was staring at Liam and my father when Niall walked over.
I smiled and before I could say anything to him, he wrapped his arms around me. "Thank you. For everything." I whispered. My arms wrapped around his and I stood there, comfortably for a few seconds. Eventually I let go, seeing Liam look at me and Niall in a slight weird and confused look.
I stared at Liam, my bottom lip shaking and my eyes getting watery. "I'm so sorry." I said, not knowing what to do. "Me too" He said, walking over to me and pulling me in to a hug. I started sobbing softly. For the past weeks, this is the only thing I had wanted.
"I should have listened to you." I said, not letting go of Liam. "What happened?" He said, finally letting go of me. I bit my lip and looked at his chest rather than in to his eyes. "A lot." I then managed to say before I sobbed again. He pulled me back in to a hug and rubbed my back.
"Lily, Geoff, can I take your coats?" Rob then asked, I nodded and took off my coat. My father gave Rob his coat and then I gave him mine, I took off my scarf and turned around. Niall's eyes widened and I put my hand on my neck, closing my eyes and realising what I had done.
The bandages were still wrapped around my neck so now everyone could see them. "Lily.." Liam started saying but my mother cleared her throat. I bit my lip and looked at my father that showed me a comforting smile.
"We will talk after Christmas Breakfast, please, all sit down." My mother then said. My father had brought her up to date slightly, telling her it had to do with Zayn and that I would tell them the details once I was home.
I guess I would have to tell everyone now.
I sat down at the dining table in between Niall and my father. Next to my father was Liam. Across from me were Ali, Louis and Harry and my mother and Rob were both seated on the two heads of the table.
My mother said her prayers and then we began scooping delicious food on our plates, everybody's talking filled the dining room. Liam and my father were talking about everything. I understood, they hadn't seen each other in the longest time.
"Hey," I looked to my right to see Niall already staring at me. "I'm happy you decided to come back." He whispered to me, just to me, so nobody else would hear. I smiled back at him, "me too," I smiled, placing my hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you for telling nobody." I then said, taking my hand off his shoulder again. "Of course, I promised you, why would I not keep my promise." He said, staring at me like I made a joke. "It's just. Recently a lot of people have broken their promises to me, so it's good to have someone in your life that keeps them." I smiled. He returned the smile and then we both went back to our plates.
The rest of breakfast was filled with catching up, I had a lot to catch up on. "So where is Camilla?" I eventually asked everyone, not really caring who would respond. "She's in Australia with her family to celebrate Christmas. She's coming back in two days I think." Liam said, furrowing his brows and counting in his head.
"Are you still here then, dad? I'd love for you to meet her." Liam said, turning his had to face our father. I hadn't actually asked him when he would go back, I had no idea how long he was planning on staying. "I'm still here then, I'd love to meet her too." He smiled.
