"Come on Lily, hurry up! Ali is waiting!" Camilla groaned from outside of the bathroom. "I am almost finished!" I said, biting my lip. I was completely ready, leaning against the side of the sink. "Just go I will meet you guys there, my nail chipped off." I said, hoping she would take the bait and just leave.
"You're so annoying." Camilla groaned, "but alright, I'll see you there." She said. I heard her walking around on her heels and then the door closed. I let out a breath and opened the bathroom door. Finally, she left.
I waited five minutes and stared out of the window to see Ali's car drive off. I quickly put on my heels, grabbed my coat and walked out of my dorm.
I walked down the street. The leaves had started falling down the trees now, making me realise it was actually beginning to look like fall around here. I was excited, but also sad, I loved summer with all my heart.
Quickly, I wrapped my arms around myself because the chills were coming. Why did I decide to do this now again?
I was currently in my dress and heels, a thick coat on, on my way to Zayn, because he wanted me to come pick up my bag. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to pick up my own bag. But why did I have to do this right before my brother and his frat were throwing a party?
Just a few more steps was all I could think when I finally reached Zayn's frat house. Somehow there was loud music coming from inside. Was his frat throwing a party too? I decided to call up Zayn because there was no way possible that I could find him inside, seeing how crowded it was. It rang once until he picked it up.
"Hey Lils." He said, the music that I heard coming from inside and the music I heard through the phone were the same. "Hey Z, I'm outside." I said quickly, looking over my shoulder to make sure nobody I knew would spot me here.
"I'll be right there." He said and hung up. Not even half a minute later the door opened in it stood Zayn, looking rather attractive. "Hi." He smiled, holding out his hand for me to take. "Hello." I responded simply, taking it and following him inside.
"You didn't tell me you guys were throwing a party." I said while I followed him up the stairs. "I would have invited you but I know your brother is throwing one tonight as well." He said, opening his room, letting me walk in first. He closed the door and followed me.
I nodded, seeing my bag neatly in the corner. "Can I ask you something?" I said, turning around and meeting Zayn's stare. Our face was a few inches apart, making it harder to breathe. "Sure, you can ask me anything." He said.
I sighed and walked over to his desk chair, sitting down and staring at him. "Why do my brother and friends hate you?" I asked, making him widen his eyes and take a seat on his bed. There were too many feet in between us now, but it was good after the question I just asked.
"Why don't you ask your brother?" He said, staring at the ground. "Because if I ask him, he will know I still hang out with you." I said, playing with the rings on my fingers. "He thinks you've cut all ties with me?" Zayn asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Just answer my question first." I said, biting my lip.
"Okay." Zayn groaned, falling back on to his bed and staring up at the ceiling. I couldn't help myself and walked over to him and sat down next to him. Leaning against his side with one of my hands on his chest.
He took a deep breath. "I did some things I am not really proud of last year." He said, not making eye contact with me. "Why would they care?" I asked, really unsure. "Because I used to be in their fraternity, I used to be their friend." He said, closing his eyes. I widened mine and took my hand off of his chest.
