"Lily?" I was woken up by my father sitting on the side of my bed.

I opened my eyes and stretched out, petting my dogs that were still sleeping next to me. "Do you want some lunch, I planned a doctor's appointment so we have to leave in like an hour." He said while Bailey crawled over to him so he could pet her.

"I made a fruit salad." He smiled, knowing it was my favourite. I sat up straight, "I'll come down." I told him. He nodded and got up again, the dogs followed him, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I grabbed my phone and checked to see if I had any messages. I had a few from Zayn, which gave me chills all over my body.

From Zaynie 😘: Where the hell are you.

Before I did anything else, I had to change his name. I did not want to see that name like that anymore.

Then I decided to block his number so he couldn't contact me ever again. After having doubts about it for a few minutes I decided to do the same with Travis, Kelsey and Lou. It was better if they all could not contact me anymore.

I went in to further lengths, blocking them on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. I really did not want any of them to see where I was. It felt safer the second I had finished with that.

Eventually I got up out of my bed and slipped on some sweatpants. I checked my stomach bruise in the mirror shortly before I left my room and walked downstairs to get some lunch.

I strolled down to the dining table to see my father already sitting there with his laptop. "Don't tell me you are working, I thought you told me you were on Christmas break?" I pouted, but then followed it with a laugh.

"I am not working, I am trying to see what time it is in Miami so I know when to contact your mother and we can Skype with her." He said, making me stop in my tracks.

"No, dad, we can't." I said, widening my eyes and staring at him. "Lily we have to." He said, putting an exaggeration on the word have. I bit my lip and stared at my feet. "Honey she thinks you are still in your dorm at this moment. You have to come clean about what is going on." He said, grabbing my hand.

I sat down next to him and stared at the ground. "How do I even begin. I need to tell her this face to face." I said, immediately overthinking every minute.

"That is why I booked us tickets to fly to Miami on Christmas Eve." I widened my eyes again and stared at him. "Us? As in you're coming with me?" I raised my brows and had a confused look on my eyes.

"I thought why not celebrate Christmas with my son. Your mother and I are still friends and I have been wanting to see what Liam and her life are like." He said, showing me a smile. I was happy my parents didn't have a messy divorce. They parted ways but always remained friendly and still loved each other because they thought it was important for their children. I was grateful to have that.

"But we need to warn her before-hand, Lils, we can't just stand at her doorstep on Christmas morning." He laughed, pulling me in to his chest and giving me a hug.

"When do we fly?" I asked, furrowing my brows. "We leave at one in the morning on Christmas Day so we arrive right before Christmas Breakfast." He smiled, patting my back.

I smiled, spending Christmas with family was all I had eventually hoped for. I really wanted this, but after everything that had happened I was scared it might not be perfect. Telling my mother was one thing, but telling Liam..

"Now go eat we can't be late for Doctor Stire." He said, letting me out of his hug.

I reached out for the bowl of fruit salad and got a croissant. I ate it with my father whilst we talked about the few things I did enjoy in Miami. I told him about the content of my classes, that were actually really interesting. The campus was also gorgeous, so I was kind of excited for him to come with me so I could show him where I had been the past few months.
