"So for this homework, I suggest you pick out one of these sophomores and interview them." The teacher said. I looked up from my desk to see about six sophomores walk to the front of the class. I stared at all of them until I locked eyes with Colin, who was one of my brother's friends. He smiled and gave me a friendly nod.
I knew which sophomore I would pick.
When the teacher gave us the sign we could pick our sophomore I got up, totally ignoring Zayn and walking over to Colin.
I was followed by some other girls but they all glared at me since I was first. "Sorry girls, I am too busy to help more than one of you out, but please, my friends here are happy to help." He told them, they all rolled their eyes and walked off.
I locked eyes with Zayn who just had a puzzled look on his face.
"Hey." I smiled at Colin.
"Hey." He replied.
"Is my brother okay with this?" I asked him, making Colin nod, "he doesn't have to know." He smirked. "I'll go get my bag and we can find a place to work on this." I smiled at Colin, who smiled back. He followed me whilst I walked back to my chair, his smile fading once I got close to Zayn.
Zayn stared at me with a playful smirk on his face. "I'm going to sit down with Colin to do this assignment." I told him. He nodded and got up, "have fun," he said before placing a peck on my lips. "Just not too much without me." Making me smile a little before kissing him again.
I walked back over to Colin and smiled at him again, immediately the smile on his face appeared back and we walked out the classroom.
"So I was thinking, Joe's Cup or the library." Colin asked me. My brother, friends and I used to always hang out at Joe's Cup before all of this drama happened, so there was a risk they would see me. The library, they didn't really visit that place too often. "Library." I told him.
We walked in silence through the hallway until we reached it, sitting down in a quiet spot, hidden behind book chests.
"So," Colin started talking. "So," I replied, a little chuckle following.
"Can we first, just, get the awkwardness out of the way?" Colin asked, making me furrow my brows. "I just want to ask you how you've been." He said, staring at me.
It had been a few days since Zayn walked out on me, we kind of made up. If making up meant making out, then we did. He hadn't really been physical or anything with me except one time. Two nights ago he came over when I was alone, Kelsey and Lou were gone, he was drunk out of his mind. I told him he had to sleep it off but he wasn't having it. When I tried to support him and walk him over to the couch he got annoyed and pushed me, my arm right in to the fridge door handle, an ugly bruise had appeared over night and it did hurt. He apologised, so it was fine.
"Lily." I looked up to realise I had dazed off after his question. "Sorry." I chuckled, staring at him. "I've been fine, I guess." I said, checking out to see if the bruise on my arm was still covered up by my cardigan. "Under circumstances." I then added to my statement.
"It's been a little hard to not have my brother and friends around, on the other hand I have gotten the chance to really make my own friends instead of the ones Liam basically picked out for me." I told Colin. "That, I can understand." He said.
"How are you? And the others, anything major happening?" I asked. I might be angry, annoyed, pissed, however you want to call it, but in the end, I did still care about them.
"I'm great, just doing my thing." He laughed. "Uhm, the others, let me think." He said, looking up to really think for a second.
"I mean, I don't know if you like to hear this, but Liam and Camilla were having a little bit of a hard time after the Zayn incident at the party, but they're doing okay now, back together and all." He started telling me, which made me nod.
