The loud ringing of my phone tends to wake me up fairly often. I got up and grabbed it from beside me, seeing the caller ID was Kelsey. Flashbacks from last night came in to my sober mind and immediately my eyes became watery. I hung up and sat in silence for a little.
I couldn't believe Zayn actually went this far and hurt me as bad as he did. I actually think he cared enough about me to not do that to me. Of course he had hurt me before, but I thought it was just his way of showing me how much he cared about me and that he wanted me to stay.
I looked around my room to see it was empty and tidy, just how Camilla always kept it. Why wasn't she here? I should leave before she got back.
But I realised I now officially had no where to go. I would never go back to Zayn, ever again. Kelsey and Lou probably already hated me and staying in this dorm just felt wrong.
I got out of my bed and groaned when I felt my stomach hurt. I picked up t-shirt and saw the bandages. I had a vague memory of how it got there. Dylan was here last night, taking care of my injuries. And Niall, he was there too. I did not have too many memories about last night which was probably for the better.
Slowly, I moved myself to the bathroom. I splashed my face with cold water and dried it with a towel that laid around. Then I stared at my reflection and widened my eyes. There were a few bandages on my neck, my right eye was black and there was a cut in my lip.
Then my mind was interrupted by a knock on the door. I furrowed my brows and walked over to the door, opening it and revealing Kelsey and Lou.
"Hey guys." I said, they had blank expressions. That changed slightly when they noticed my injuries but they quickly got back to blank. "We figured you were here." Lou said, her arms crossed.
"We're giving you a get away card. Since we care a mild amount about you." Kelsey then said, raising one of her eyebrows and staring at me up and down.
"Here is your stuff. Leave today and Zayn won't go after you. Hurry, because if he does find you, you're dead meat." Lou said, handing me my two bags filled with clothing, books and my laptop.
"Thank you." I said softly, staring at them. "I never wanted things to go like this." I tried but they shook their head. They walked off and I was left feeling as confused as ever. Was it my fault for what happened? I tried to shake if off and closed the door again.
So I had to leave Miami? Did they just ban me from campus? My home? The only place I was left to be welcomed was back in London.
Christmas back in London with all my old friends, grandparents and father? Sounds like a great plan.
Quickly I rushed back to my room and got my phone. I dialed my father's number and hoped he'd pick up. After a few rings he picked up.
"Lily, hey, I haven't heard from you in a while, is everything okay?" He asked and almost immediately the sobbing began. "Lils are you crying, what's wrong?" He said, making me feel like such a failure. "Some bad things happened, dad." I sobbed, sitting down on the ground.
"Have you told your mother? Lily what happened?" He said, really opening up about a few concerns. "I know it's last minute but can I fly home for Christmas break?" I asked, hoping he'd say yes. "I really really can not stay here." I told him. He had to say yes.
"Does your mother know about this?" He asked and I took a breath. She knew about nothing. "I'll tell her after you say yes." I said, not promising it because I would not do that.
I heard my father take a deep breath, "alright, see which flight you can catch and let me know when to pick you up. When you get here we do have to talk, sweetie." He said. I thanked him about a thousand times more and then I hung up.
Quickly, I got my laptop and looked up flights. The first one was in five hours, I could make that. I booked it and then started packing as fast and much as possible. I didn't know if I'd ever come back, so I didn't know how much I should take with me.
My packing sprint got interrupted by my phone ringing. I looked up to see it was Niall. I furrowed my eyebrows and thought about answering it for a second. But then I realised my taxi would be here in ten minutes and that I still wasn't finished packing.
I hung up and rushed over to my closet. I still had to get ready as well. The only thing that looked good on me right now was a turtleneck sweater which covered up the bandages on my neck and my stomach. My black eye and cut lip would have to do, at least sunglasses could do the deed a little.
Soon I was finished and grabbed my suitcase, backpack and phone and headed out. I turned around to stare at my room for a last time. It was nice sleeping here again for a night, but now I really had to leave.
The taxi driver downstairs was waiting for me. He helped me load my suitcase in the car. I then got in, put on my sunglasses and drove off. When I was seated in the taxi, my phone rung again, it ended up being Niall, again. I hung up, again.
I don't know why he was there last night. I vaguely remember him being at the beach with me. Then all of a sudden we were in my old dorm. Dylan was cleaning up my wound and Niall was there to tell me it would be okay.
I took in the view of Miami Dade College one last time because I had no idea when I'd be back, if I'd ever be back.
