When we got into the room we saw Dex sitting upright in his bed. Me and Jacob held hands and for a second Dex looked at it with a frown. I almost thought about letting go of Jacobs hand but I won't. I can not play these games anymore.

"hey Dex" I said softly as I approached him. He smiled back and said "hey" weakly.

As a tear falls from my eye I cry out "this is all my fault" I cover my eyes with my hands so Dex can't see my tears.

"It's alright shhh" He calms me by rubbing his fingers in a circle on my back.

I almost fell into his spell but fortunatly Jacob speaks waking me up "hey there Dex, awake already?" Jacob asks awkwardly, I can tell this is a tough thing for him.

"yeah I am" Dex says cautiously back.

I sigh, could this get anymore awkward?

"Nicole?"

"Yes?"

"Can you leave me and Jacob to talk, Man to boy" Dex snickered as Jacob punched his arm.

Oh god it just did.

"uhh yeah, sure" I said as I offered the two soft smiles and left. I tried leaning into the door to hear what they were saying but the door was sound proof, couldn't hear a thing.

I paced back and forth wondering what they were saying. After running into a few nurses I decided it would be best if I went home. I texted Jacob ' going home. TTYL '

After it dinged letting me know it sent I walked home.

**** Jacobs POV

My phone buzzed against my jean pocket causing me to take it out. It was Nicole.

After reading it I said "that was just Nicole she's heading home, what do you want?"

Dex rolled his eyes like it was obvious what he wanted to talk about.

"What?" I asked confused.

He sighed "Do you really love Nicole?"

That question was a shocker.

"Excuse me?" I asked sounding affended.

"I said do you really love Nicole" Dex said shaking his head.

"Of course I do, why else would I stick with her after all these incidents"

"Maybe because you need to get your mind off of this future wedding"

"excuse me?" I asked getting angry.

"I'm just saying you've been pretty quite about your mothers new fiance and all that" Dex said judgingly.

"Well I'm not an open person if that's what your suggesting"

"no, I'm suggesting that your using Nicole"

"What? I'm not using her" I growled at Dex.

"Prove it"

"prove what?"

"after your mothers wedding prove to me you still will love Nicole"

"Of course I will still love her, why wouldn't I?"

"How should I know? Jacob"

"Why are accusing me?"

"Maybe it's because I don't know, you told David to kill me, or was it the fact that you got more secrets hidden that Nicole doesn't know"

"H-how do you know that?!" I nervously stuttered.

"David came in earlier to clear his concious, and boy, weren't you a big part of that concious?" He yelled back.

I'm surprised a nurse hasn't came in to check the ruckus.

"I-I"

"you what?"

"I'm sorry Dex"

"sorry's not enough"

"then what is?"

"Nicole"

"what?"

"I want you to end things with Nicole"

"what? no!"

"You either end things with Nicole or I will tell the cops everything you did"

"I-"

"tick-tock Jacob"

"fine, I will end things"

"good"

"so you won't tell?"

"my lips are sealed"

After he said that I stormed out into the hallway where I almost ranover a nurse. I can't believe he was doing this! and I can't believe he knows.

He knows and now he's threatening me to lose the love of my life.
