Aaron was sixteen and has been in foster care since she was seven years old but after being booted out of her most recent residency due to circumstances she had been through all too many times, she was done. Over it. Drained of life, exhausted mentally, and scarred emotionally.

Yet, the Phoenix's just might show her that not all foster homes are horrible, not all men are the same, and family isn't those whom you are related to but who you surround yourself with and as Aaron rises from the ashes that had burned her all too many times she realizes something she wouldn't have ever thought before.

Blood is thicker than water but water is what helps you survive.

JUMPSCARE!

lol. Uh, just added a more detailed trigger warning so no one feels surprised by the contents! I fully understand my duty as the writer of this book to include this for anyone who may need it. If anyone happens to come by this and thinks of anything else that maybe could be a potential trigger I will try to update whenever I get the chance but I know and understand the scenes of SA depicted on page are the biggest one.
