Hello, my name is Gardenia Moore, and I would like to enter Harry Styles in for the international scholarship. I know the essay is supposed to be under a five hundred words, so I'm hoping to keep this short. Wish me luck.

Harry Styles is from a small town in England, called Holmes Chapel. I met him last spring when he moved in across the street from me. He has done so much for me, and I would just love to return the favor. I'm going to begin by telling you some things that he's done for, not only me, but others, and why I believe that he deserves this scholarship more than anybody.

Let's start with the first time we met. It was the anniversary of my brother's death, and so I was drinking in an attempt to avoid the pain. I foolishly decided that I was going to drive home drunk, when a kind stranger decided to take my keys away from me to avoid hurting myself and others. He did the same thing on Halloween, when I was drunk but decided I was sober enough to drive. He had enough sense to stop me and call his mother to come and pick us up. I learned to never drink again, but I was only able to learn that because of Harry.

Next, he always helps his mother with whatever he can. He and his mother had a messy history with his dad, where he took everything away from them, and Harry allowed his mother to live with him and help her out. When his mom wanted to move to America, rather than staying in England himself, he decided to go with her, and again, help her with whatever. He got a job to help buy necessities, since they came here with practically nothing. He let her drive his car, since she didn't have one. Harry helped her with whatever he could, which I believe to be admirable.

Finally, he helped me to mature. He was and is never one to want to change me, or make me somebody I'm not. He has always supported me and my decisions, but he's also always wanted me to be the best version of myself that I could be. With the help of him, I let go of the past. I was able to forgive myself for things that weren't solely my fault. I was able to forgive others for things that I never believed I would have been able to otherwise. I was also able to mend my relationship with my mother. This was all because of Harry's influence on me. He's made me grow into a better and stronger person, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

With that, I will end this essay. I truly believe that Harry is the most deserving person for a scholarship. He deserves the absolute world. I hope that you can consider him for it.

Thank you for this opportunity.
