One month. One whole month have passed and Rebell was still in coma. She gave no signs of life or waking up. Elijah and Amber were in library every day. They read every book they found that was or wasn't connected go her state. They hoped to find something written in there.
They even read the journals if the Alpha's but there was nothing written in there. They didn't sleep. They didn't eat. All they did was read and read. They searched for answers but there were none. Rebell and Elijah put down their books and sighed. Elijah shook his head as he let out one more tired sigh.
That's when something clicked in Elijah's head. He jumped up in realization and Amber looked up at him. She hoped he had some answeres.
„I don't have the answered but I knew someone who had.“ he said and smiled but then his smile slowly dissapeared. Amber looked at him while raising one eyebrow. Something was off.
„He was my brother, Kaleb Smith. He was an original vampire. He heard voices every day of his 1000 years of life and he stood sane. But-.... He died few years ago.“ Elijah said and Amber sighed. She knew they had to do something. But how could they ask for help someone who is dead.
„I know how we can talk with him.“ she said and Elijah looked at her confused. How can they talk with a dead person? Rebell was the only witch in the pack. And without a witch, they can't talk to anyone who is by the way, dead and in hell. Kaleb wasn't a good person. That's how Elijah knew where he went. The things Kaleb suffered made him do bad things.
„I used to have a really good friend back in high school. She was a witch. A strong one. I can call her for help.“ she said and Elijah smiled while nodding his head so fast that it wouldn't be surprising if it fell off. Amber took out her phone and dialed the number. She talked on the phone about.. 30 minutes and then she hung up. She smiled and nodded her head at Elijah who imidiately smiled back.
Meanwhile, in Rebell's head things were nasty. The voices of a Banshee's were trying to wake her up but something was stopping her. Something was terribly wrong. Then, the devil himself showed up.
Talking the same stories over and over again. Asking the same questions and it was boring Rebell to death. Quite literally.
„You could get out of this state Rebell. You know that, right? I could give you your life back. And all I need in return was for you to tell be just one single word. All you have to do is say 'yes'. “ he said nicely. Yes, the devil was nice to her but only because he wanted something. He wanted her life. He wanted to posses her.
„It's really easy. Just say that one magical word.“ he kept saying it over and over again. The Banshees were raising their voices again. Telling her to stop. Not to do it. But little did they know that she was slowly going insane because of their constant whining.
„No!“ she screamed as the devil looked at her in disbelief and Banshee was smiling proudly.
„I will not let you in. No matter how big of a torture this is. I will never ever let you in my head again.“ she screamed at him and he disappeared. The Banshees were telling her how proud of her they were but Rebell didn't care. Not even slightless.
„Just leave me alone!“ she screamed at them too and they too disappeared leaving her in constant darkness like she wanted. She acted like she was going insane but she wasn't. She was fighting. She was surviving. And Rebell never gives up.
Soon Amber smelled the scent of her best friend, witch. She walked down the stairs and soon she met the smilung brunette. Clary was a small girl. But she was also very hyper active. They hugged and exchanged smiles as Amber lead her down the hall until they were in a library. Everything was fine until the witch sensed the presence of a creature that was enemy to her race.
