Today I wore my summer dress with sun flowers on it, hoping that it would look extra good against my tan skin. Today was not the day, after almost a week out in the sun hadn't really done much for me. I got my aunt's white bike with a basket in the front out and made my way towards the local supermarket.

If there was one thing I liked, it was supermarkets, especially in foreign countries. Just browsing down the different aisles of products trying to see if they have the same products like back at home or discovering new products. Basically, what I was saying that I had a thing for supermarkets.

I grabbed a cart and started by the closest aisle. My aunt had already food in her kitchen that she meant would least me at least two days. I think she didn't have a clue about my food intake since it lasted me a good week.

My music was plugged into my earphones and took my time to pick out my food. It wasn't like I was rushing to go anywhere. I hummed along to the song was playing until I felt my dress stick onto something, or someone.

I turned around surprised to see a familiar face. "Gracie," I said, ripping out my earphones. "What are you doing here alone?"

"Oh, I'm not alone. My dad's is by the vegetables," she shrugged lightly and kept looking at my dress. "Your dress is pretty."

"Thank you," I smiled. "Your top is beautiful."

Gracie looked on her t-shirt with a princess print on it. "My dad picked it out. His taste isn't as good," she laughed.

"Hey, I bet he is trying his best," I smiled. "Shouldn't you be with him though? You know it's not good to run away from your dad."

She shook her head. "I am almost six, Lia. I can handle myself. Even my dad says that I am mature for my age. " She stood there with her arms crossed over her chest and a proud smile painted on her pink lips.

"Okay, let's get you back to your dad. Who knows if your dad is panicking around the store now?" I laughed and Gracie giggled.

I had one hand on my cart and the other linked in Gracie's little hand. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach starting to flutter, which was weird. I hadn't had a proper conversation with Sam since the time Gracie went into my balcony, but every time we saw each other, he would smile the charming of his and I would blush slightly. I wasn't looking for something serious right now, but if the opportunity for a little romance was there, I might take it. Besides, there wasn't a sign of a wife in the picture, at least in the beach house, so I assumed he was a single father.

When we reached the vegetables aisle, Sam was nowhere to be seen. I looked down at Gracie, who just raised her brows. "Well, he was here when I left him."

"Let's just look for a man who is panicking after his daughter," I said.

"I have an idea," she mumbled, pulling my arm. We walked past different aisles until I noticed it was towards the candy aisle.

And there he was. The moment he saw his daughter, his shoulder relaxed and he let out a relieved sigh. "Dear God, there you are Gracie," he said and went over to hug her.

"I saw Lia and went over to her," she said after he let go.

And he shifted his gaze over to me, lips pulled into a smile. "Lia."

"Hey," I smiled. "Gracie just showed up in front of me," I nervously chuckled.

"She has a tendency to do that," he said, obviously referring to how we met.

Gracie stood between us with the cheeky smile of hers as usual and I had not idea what to say next. "Eh, I guess I should continue my groceries shopping."
