Magnus's POV:

As I waited for the doctors to finish the tests on Alexander, Izzy, Maryse, Max and Robert all came running through the door. Izzy and Max in tears, Maryse and Robert looking as shocked as ever. I stood up from the seat I was sat in, with my head in my hands.
"Magnus, what happened to him?" Isabelle asked as they finally reached me.
"H-he was in a- a car accident. He doesn't look great." I said pointing through the window. Alexander was still motionless, but now he had tubes sticking out of his arms.
"Oh, my baby boy!" Maryse exclaimed as she started to cry. The tears fell fast down her face and plummeted to the ground.
"Thank you. Thank you so much, Magnus." Robert said while Max was hugging his leg.
"You don't need to thank me, I'll do anything for him." Robert smiled at me.

After a while of waiting, yet again, the doctors left the room.
"How is he?" I asked as I stood up.
"He'll live, but he's not looking great." The older looking doctor answered. Maryse and Isabelle stood up and walked over, Robert was blocked by a knocked out Max laying on his lap.
"When can he come home?" I asked, glancing over at Alec every once in a while.
"See well, that's the thing, he won't be coming home any time soon. He's fallen into a coma." My jaw dropped open, I didn't say a thing, just stood there.
"I'm very sorry Sir- and Miss." How could this be? What were we supposed to do?
"No, this can't be true." Maryse's tears started to form a puddle at her feet. "You have to wake him up!"
"I'm sorry Miss, but we can't. We have to let the patient wake up in his own time.
"And how long will that be?" Robert asked from his seat, clearly not wanting to wake up Max.
"It will be approximately 5 months."
"5 months!" He exclaimed, now standing up completely distracted.
"It's hard to hear, I know Sir. But there's nothing we can do. We just have to sit and wait." The tears had started again.
"Can I see him?" I finally blurted out over all the chaos. Everyone went silent.
"Yes Sir, you can." I ran past them all and went straight to Alec's side. I grabbed his hand. Although he wasn't awake his he was still warm. I  needed his comfort. I needed his touch. I started sobbing, my head in Alec's chest. I could hear his heartbeat, it was steady.
"I love you, Alexander." Was all I could get out.

Alec's family came in one by one to see him. Last it was Izzy.
"Magnus, we're all going. You should probably get going too." His hand was still rested in mine.
"No, I'm not leaving him."
"Alright...Look, don't stress yourself. Just, give him time. He'll come around. Night." She rested her hand on my shoulder for some time and walked out the room. The second she left, my free hand gripped his and now I was holding his hands with both of mine. I kissed his hand as soft as I could. All I could think about at this point was the wedding. What was I supposed to do? We'd have to delay the wedding for about 10 months. Enough time for him to wake up, get some rest and decide if he still wants to do this. After everything he had been through, he could've changed his mind. I was already doing what Isabelle had told me not to do.

I let go of his hand with one of mine and brought it to his chest. His heartbeat vibrated through my hands, I needed as much comfort as I could get.

Minutes went by, then hours. I didn't move a muscle. I fell asleep at Alec's side. His hand in mine.
