Chapter 5

Finally the end of the day, Adriana walks quickly through the hallways. She buries her hands into her pockets. Making sure to not punch or slash someone with her nails. Kept getting pushed and shoved, Adriana couldn't help but growl. Her nails were threatening them by sharpening inside her pockets.

Looking up toward in front of her. She could barely see with her bangs in the way. But she didn't complain or push them away. Instead she just looks through her slightly thick hair. Adriana shrugs her shoulders to keep her backpack on her shoulders.

Adriana was suddenly shoved to the ground. Landing hard on her face with force. She fought the groaning from escaping. But also fought to show any signs of pain. Adriana bites down on her lip to not growl.

Slowly she stood back up and brushed herself off. Turning around, Adriana finds the jock she almost punched. He had an angry look on his face. His eyes red by anger.

"Think you could almost punch me and get away with it!?" he said with a snarl. Adriana just rolled her eyes at him and snarled back. "Listen Jared, I ain't afraid to break you like how I broke your star quarterback's arm." she said with a smirk. Jared grabs her by the collar and lifts her off the ground. "I don't care if you're a girl, I'm gonna beat the shit outta you!" He lifts his fist to punch Adriana but she pushes him back.

Quickly she swung a punch at him. Succeeding in nailing him in the nose. He was sent sprawling backwards and hit the lockers behind him. Blood instantly bled out of both of Jared's nostrils. Adriana's nose twitched by the smell.

"Goodbye, idiot."

Adriana turns away from him and suddenly noticed a crowd was already formed. But they all quickly separated when they saw her looking at them. She saw that Orion was in the crowd as well. As were his friends. Adriana locked eyes with Orion and it felt like time stopped for the both of them. The two stared at each other for about five long seconds.

Quickly averting her eyes, Adriana walks out of the school. Ignoring all glares from many teenagers.

She sped up her walk and it turned into a run. Adriana felt the pain from being pushed to the ground fade as the wind pressed against her skin. The feeling reminded her of when she was five. When she had transformed into the Beast.

Now about 24 miles away from school, Adriana stops to catch her breath.

Dropping her backpack to the forest floor, Adriana falls backwards. Landing on a soft pile of leaves. She felt the wind almost get knocked out of her when she hits the ground. Adriana couldn't help but laugh when the leaves tickled her skin.

Suddenly stopping her laughter, Adriana realizes she had laughed. She stood into a sitting position. Confusion and shock filled her insides like a river. Adriana stood up and looks around. A sudden feeling of being watching tingled her senses.

The wind seemed to have died down. Adriana blinks a few times and looks side to side without moving her head. The hairs on her neck stood up, making Adriana growl in annoyance.

A low growl suddenly set Adriana off. Whipping her entire body around, she finds a gigantic, mountain lion. It stared into her now yellow eyes in hunger. Adriana spotted drool was slowly running down the sides of the mountain lion's lips. Looking all dangerous and gross.

Slowly, she moved down to the ground. Not looking dangerous or frightened. Adriana's facial features slowly changed. The tips of all of her teeth sharpened to tips. The whites of her eyes changed to blood red and her irises changed to dark green. A cold smile appeared on her face as she stared at the beast.

"Wanna dance pretty boy, let's dance. . .!" Adriana shouted as she ran at the mountain lion. Her nails sharpened and turned pitch black. Adriana felt her Beast awaken immediately as she ran at full speed. Her entire human form melted and ripped away, and changed into a large, seven, foot, tall wolf. She jumps high into the air to get her entire body to change.

Landing on the ground on all fours, Adriana looked at the mountain lion. Seeing that in its eyes was fear. But also deep within its fur was that it was shaking.

A wolfish, smirk appears on her face. Adriana slowly walked and then lunged at the large cat. In the blink of an eye Adriana was on top of the mountain lion. Already she was biting down on its back skin. Sinking her jaws deep into its back. The puma howled loud, enough to awaken the whole forest.

Sent to the ground, Adriana howled in fury. The pain of the pressure sank deep into her system. Thrashing all around, trying to break free, Adriana snapped her fangs at the mountain lion.

'You have got another thing coming!"

The large cat got off and slowly backed away. Slowly it got down on its haunches, getting ready to launch. Adriana rolled back to her feet, her angry burning higher and higher. Fire would've been seen coming out of her skin and off of her fur.

Adriana runs straight at the mountain lion at full speed. Allowing her Beast take full control. She felt her human side completely drift away from the outside, and into the deep inside of her skin. Chaining up her human side where her Beast lies.

She could still see but she couldn't move. Her Cursed Beast had full control over her.

Before either of the two could make a move, a large, brown and black wolf attacked the mountain lion. Adriana watched the large wolf attack the large cat. The wolf sank its teeth deep into the puma's neck and succeeded in killing it. Just in one bite, the mountain lion fell dead.

Adriana quickly did all her strength to take control of her Beast.

Finally, she takes control of her Beast. And then she turns back into her human form. Her clothes were ripped up down to her sports bra and her pants almost revealed her underwear. Adriana stared at the wolf in shock and wonder. Seeing how large it was, seeing how smart it looked in its eyes.

The wolf suddenly shape shifted into a human. But not just any human.

It was Orion Lucas.
