ULTRAVIOLENCE: THE EPILOGUE
OR
PART FOUR CHAPTER TENVICTORIA ADMIRED THE ROSE GOLD RING ENCRUSTED WITH DIAMONDS THAT WRAPPED AROUND HER RING FINGER. It was her mothers, and Tony had given it to her because he felt that she deserved it more than any woman he could've possibly given it to. She looked up as the chair across from her moved backwards, scraping across the floor slightly. Steve sat down, shuffling in towards the table.
"You look beautiful." He admired, looking at her purple dress. It was Alexander Wang, and it looked perfect on her. This environment looked perfect on her. Her new life looked perfect on her. Victoria coughed slightly, bringing Steve out of his daze.
"Did you send it?" She asked him, referring to a package that he had to send to her brother. It was an apology, and Victoria was proud of him for stepping up to his responsibility. Steve nodded, taking a drink of his water.
Steve reached over the table, taking her hands in his, and leaned forward. She leaned forward too, resting their foreheads together. They smiled, looking deeply into each other's eyes. Victoria could see the hint of green in his blue eyes, but she loved his imperfections. It made him more human. Steve leaned in, kissing her softly. They closed their eyes and just stayed like that, resting their faces against each other, enjoying being so close.
"Steve?" Victoria whispered against his lips. He could taste the strawberry drink she had been sipping.
"Mhm?" He hummed, his breath tickled her lips.
"I love y-"
"Are you ready to order?" A perky voice caused the two to violently flinch away from each other, banging their heads against each other in the process. The waitress bit her lip to hide her laugh. Steve stuttered, scrambling for the menu whilst Victoria was giggling.
"Uh- we'll take two of the specials. Please, thank you." He said, not even reading the menu to see what the specials was- he just wanted to get rid of the waitress. She nodded and walked away. "You were saying?" He asked, taking her hands again. He examined her ring, spinning it around her finger as he lionized her.
"I was saying-"
"Excuse me, are you Captain America?" Steve rolled his eyes before putting on his best smile and facing the little boy with a napkin and a pen. He nodded and greeted the child, giving him his best Cap treatment and making the boy very happy. Steve turned back to Victoria when the boy skipped back to his parents, elated with the fact he just met his idol.
"I love you." The two said simultaneously, not wanting to be interrupted by another person. Upon realising that, they both broke out into large grins and began laughing, completely engrossed in the other's company.
The laughing soon began to fade into silence, and the two stared at other places around the room, a conversation missing but on the tips of their tongues. Victoria sucked in a breath, looking at her boyfriend.
"Maybe we should...." She trailed off, not wanting to say it out loud.
"We should." Steve agreed, nodding vigorously. They both pushed back their chairs and grabbed their jackets, running out of the restaurant hand in hand.

THE WATER RAFT SWELLED WITH A BRILLIANT VIOLET LIGHT. Victoria stood at the entrance to the circle of cells and Steve soon joined her, shaking his head in disapproval (despite the fact he had a massive smile on his face). He took her hand, and the two stepped over the unconscious bodies of guards that littered the ground and stepped into the cell circle.
Victoria took her time to look at Clint; a somewhat surrogate father, Wanda; the young woman she saw as her sister with so much potential, Scott; a man she had only met once but sacrificed his time and his life for her boyfriend and her, and Sam; one of her best friends.
Sam Wilson turned around, looking into the darkness intently before smirking. His smirk turned into a smile, a smile turned into laugh as he knew that his friends will always have his back.
Stepping out of the darkness and into the light of the cell, Steve and Victoria emerged.
THE END.
WOW. What a year (and a half) its been. In my three years on Wattpad, I never would've thought that I would've gotten the amount of support and love that I've gotten. I never knew I was capable of finishing a book until now!
When I started this, I had no idea where it was going, I had no idea that it would've received this response and I had no idea that I would've made friends from it? This year has gone incredibly quick, and is it weird that I feel nostalgic for the old chapters? I remember writing them like they were yesterday. I miss part one.
Firstly, I'd like to thank Beth. I don't know if you're on Wattpad anymore, but you were my first reader, commenter, fan. And your comments when I started this book were my inspiration to carry it on. You have no idea how much you have impacted me. You mean so so much to me and Victoria.
I'd like to thank Emi, the Evan to my Stan. You're probably my biggest fan at the moment, and you're such a great friend- if not one of my best- your comments keep me going and I know we talk every day but I wanted to write a small paragraph for you because I love you.
And finally I'd like to thank all of my readers. Whether you've been here since the 3rd of July 2015 or you started reading it yesterday. Thank you to everyone who has voted and who has commented, because you guys keep me motivated and make me feel worthy. You remind me that I'm not writing into the void.
MID CREDIT SCENE
(Hell yes I'm doing this.)VICTORIA INTENTLY WATCHED THE WAKANDAN DOCTOR'S MOVEMENTS. Her hawk like eyes followed every motion, as if she didn't trust him. She sat next to Bucky, a hand on his wrist as the doctor bandaged his only hand up. She refused to look at the glass tank in front of him. She refused to let the tears spill.
Steve walked over to them, looking at the tank as he stood next to Victoria. "You sure about this?" He asked his best friend. Steve himself wasn't sure, but if Bucky was then there was nothing he could do.
"I can't trust my own mind." He said sadly. Victoria's face scrunched up in pain, she looked down, not wanting to show the tears that were falling onto her thighs. Bucky looked up at Steve and laughed sadly, as if he was about to burst into tears at any moment too. Bucky placed his hand on Victoria's thigh and squeezed it comfortingly. He didn't want his best friend crying. "So, until they figure out how to get this stuff out of my head, I think going back under is the best thing...for everybody."
Victoria and Steve stood side by side as they watched Bucky prep himself in the glass tank. She held her breath as the glass slid over him, completely encasing him. He looked at Victoria one last time before looking forward and closing his eyes. She squeezed Steve's hand as white smoke puffed throughout the tank, which frosted over the glass. He was frozen.
Steve pulled her into his side and kissed her temple before walking away, presumably to talk to T'Challa, who was waiting outside. Victoria walked up to the tank and placed a hand on the cold glass. She let the tears fall freely.
"I'm not going to say goodbye. Because 'goodbye' means that you're leaving, and it's good. It's not a good thing, otherwise I wouldn't be crying. So I'll say 'until we meet again' because that should be soon. I don't think I could go without you for too long. You've been by my side for thirty years. We're going to figure something out, and you'll be back before we even realise you're gone. So... I'll see you soon, old friend."
