Chapter 12

Ariana's P.O.V.

"I can't wait for Noah's Halloween party tomorrow night, it's gonna be so much fun"Paige says as we walk into a Halloween costume shop together.

Tomorrow is Halloween, so me and Paige are out looking for last minute Halloween costumes. Justin and Lucas also went looking for Halloween costumes together as well.

"I'm not much of a party type of girl so I probably won't stay long tomorrow night"I tell her. "Come on, it's halloween"She says.

"I know it's just, back in high school, I never really went to parties. The last time I went to a party, a boy tried forcing me to give him a lap dance which caused a fist fight to occur with Justin"I tell her, remembering that night clearly.

"But that's high school, college parties are way more fun"She says.

"Tomorrow night, I'll be the judge of that"I say and she rolls her eyes. "Let's find you the perfect costume"She says and grabs my hand. She leads me to a rack of costumes and orders for me to start looking.

I begin to move costumes along the rack, searching for something that I like. Paige does the same on another costume rack behind me.

My phone begins to ring while I'm looking at costumes. I look down at caller ID and see that Lexi is calling me.

I smile from excitement and answer the call.

"Lexi!"I beam and immediately hear her voice on the other side of the line.

"Ariana! Long time no talk"She says. "Tell me about it. How's life been?"I ask her.

"Life's been good, how about you?"She asks. "Hectic but good too"I answer her.

"How are you and Justin?"She asks. "Me and Justin are great. How about you and Brandon?"I ask her, remebering how they both got together after Prom.

"It's been a little hard since I attend Ohio state and he attends Pennsylvania state. We try to see each other as much as we can. We only live five hours apart"She tells me. "That sucks, I wish you guys attended the same college so you can see each other more"I tell her.

"Me too. Sometimes I feel like he's secretly cheating on me and seeing someone else but I think that's just my brain over thinking too much. He's a good guy but I wish I could keep better watch on him, just to assure myself that he's only dating me"She says.

"Brandon is super sweet. Don't over think things too much. Your just paranoid from your last relationship with Danny"I tell her. "I know. I just don't want to be hurt again. I really like Brandon"She says. "Everything is gonna be fine, stop worrying so much"I tell her.

"How's school been?"She asks, changing the subject. "Not great"I honestly say. "Why?"She asks and I begin to tell her all the stuff that's happened with Professor Collins the past few weeks.

"That's so terrible, I'm so sorry that happened Ariana. It's only the first semester of college and you've already dropped a class because of some stupid prick teacher. Hopefully the rest of the year gets better for you"She tells me.

"How's school been for you?"I ask. "Pretty great, not as crazy as your first semester"She says and I chuckle.

"I really miss you though"She tells me. "I miss you too. We need to plan a way to see each other again, including Lea. How's Lea been by the way? Have you talked to her?"I ask.

"Yea, she's doing good"She says. "Glad to hear that she's okay. I should probably call her soon"I say.

"What are you doing for Thanksgiving break? Maybe we can all meet up?"She asks. "I'm actually going to Florida for a week with Justin to spend thanksgiving with my Nona and the rest of my family"I tell her.
