For a long time, Cass was the only member of the family that would willingly team up with Jason on patrol. The others thought he was too dangerous to work with, but Cass could read that he was just hurt. She was also one of the only people (besides Dick) that would pair up with Damian, which made sense. Just because he was raised by an assassin didn't mean that was the path he had to follow, right?
