Confession to a Stranger

~CHAPTER 2~

All the students were standing outside of the school with their new headbands. I was standing all alone by the side of the school. I was holding my headband in my hands, tracing the engraving of the hidden leaf village symbol. Just about every student became a genin today... Except for one.

"Look at him!" I heard a girl scoff as she was talking to her friend. I suspected it to be either that brown haired girl, or her friend. "I heard he's the only person in our class who didn't pass."

I looked and saw a boy in an orange suit sitting alone on the swing. He had spiky blond hair and wore brown goggles on his forehead. He looked sad and seemed like he was longing for something... He kinda reminded me of... Me!

I sighed and tied the band around my hips. I then heard that girl's voice again. "You know, I heard that monkey girl even passed."

"No, really? I think they should lock her up!" The girl's friend stated as I saw her glare at me. "She could be dangerous and wipe out the whole village!"

The two girls kept gossiping about me as I walked over by the tree the boy was sitting at. I walked passed him, and sat on the side of the tree and began to sulk. I untied the headband around my waist and examined it in my hands, when I heard a voice.

"You should be great-full you have that headband!" The blond kid said as he got off the swing and sat next to me.

"I thought people would like me if I got this headband, but... I was wrong." I said as a tear escaped my eye. "People think of me as a monster and freak of nature."

"Why is that?" The blond kid asked me. "You don't look like a monster to me."

A part of me wanted to sit there and just ignore his questions, but another part of me made me tell him. "I... I am a saiyan, an alien from outer space." I replied as I stared at the headband. "People think I came to this planet to destroy it, and they think I'm going to hurt them so they stay away from me."

"That is the most unbelievable lie I have ever heard!" The blond kid said as he laughed. "I would rather give up on being a ninja first before I believed that!"

I growled as I grew angry of what he said. "I am an alien! Just ask any student! They will most likely laugh and say something mean about me. They always do..." I said as I calmed down and just went back to being sad. "I also have a tail in case you haven't noticed."

"Whatever." The kid said as he glared at me. I growled at him as I stood up. I let my tail uncurl itself from my waist and looked as the kid's eyes grew wide. "What the hell is that? It looks like a monkey tail!"

"I told you," I said quietly. "I'm an alien." I said and I sat down. "I'm a freak."

"Well now I believe you!" The blond kid said as he looked at me, shocked. He then shook his head. So you're... Hokika right?"

"Hoshiko." I corrected.

The blond kid snickered at me and let out a chuckle. "Oh... Well the name's Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm gonna be Hokage someday! Believe it!"
