The Monster Inside Revealed

~CHAPTER 5~

"No one calls me weak and gets away with it!" I shouted as I glared at Naruto from the other side oft he training grounds. He stood there smiling and scratching the back of his head. I was so confused.

"You didn't think I actually meant that did you?" Naruto said blushing. "I was just saying that so you would decide to prove me wrong and I see it worked! Told you I'd be Hokage someday, believe it!"

"Should of known!" I whispered as I glanced to the side. I guess I wouldn't expect that from Naruto considering it was a well thought out plan and Naruto was... Well... Not one to think like that. I mean, I'd understand maybe Sasuke, and definitely Shikimaru coming up with a plan like that, but not Naruto.

"Are you just gonna stand there whispering to yourself, or are you gonna fight me?" Naruto asked as he stared at me.

"I will fight when I am ready!" I shouted in anger.

"Yeah yeah what ever, why don't I start?" Naruto said he then got into a fighting stance and made a ninja hand sign. "Shadow clone jutsu!" Just then there was about 10 Narutos. Unfortunately for him, that didn't change a thing.

I just stood there glaring at him. He may have been my friend but I was pissed.

Before I knew it, all of the Narutos ran up to me, trying to knock me off my feet. It was a singe to defend and block him. The first clone tried to punch me in the face but I turned 90 degrees and grabbed his arm and flung him over me, sending him to the floor. When the clone hit the floor it made a poof, and disappeared in a white cloud.

The others all gathered around me, and I knew which one was the real Naruto. As they all jumped at me, it seemed as though they were in slow motion. One tried to kick me in the face but I grabbed his leg and flung him into four other clones and they all disappeared.

The other two tried to fling the real Naruto at me and when they let go of his leg, they disappeared and Naruto was flying right at me. I did a back bend and kicked him in the chin sending him flying behind me. My feet hit the ground and I stood up.

I turned and saw him rubbing his jaw, as he cursed under his breath.

"May I go now?" I asked as I stared at him. He just glared at me and I took that as a yes. My mouth curved, forming a smile, and I felt the urge to fight and not hold anything back.

I powered up my chakra as I thought of an attack to use. I took out one of my Kunai, and looked to Naruto. Behind him, stood a tall tree, and above him was a large branch about six feet above his head.

I came up with a brilliant idea to get out of here quickly and show where I rank. I placed the Kunai back in my pack around my waist, and I charged Naruto at full speed. I never really ran at full speed, but I noticed I was running much faster than any high rank ninja.

Within a few seconds, I had reached Naruto landing a punch on his cheek, sending him flying sideways. As he was soaring through the air, I placed paper bombs around in a huge circle directly below the branch. I then quickly tied the one strand of rope to two Kunai, one for each end of the rope and quickly ran back where I was before, noticing I must of ran at the speed of light in order to run that far in that short amount of time.

I found Naruto struggling to stand up, rubbing his sore cheek, and I saw blood trickle from where I had punched him, and his nose.

When I saw him in pain I felt my blood pump through my veins, my adrenaline running frantically, feeling the excitement of fighting. I took the two Kunai and ran up to him a bit slower than before. Naruto had no time to react, except to turn his head to look at me.

When I saw his face, it wasn't a face boiling with anger, or a face full of perseverance, but a face stricken in fear. His eyes were wide, and his mouth was open as he let out a gasp, and he fell to his back.

I stopped in my tracks, I dropped the knives as I covered my mouth. I saw him slowly crawl backwards, as he tried to avoid me. I could tell I have terrified him. As I watched him tremble in fear, I backed away slowly, my face now stricken in fear as well with the monster I had become.

Just as I feared, I grew thirsty for blood, and hungry for the excitement of a true battle. I turned just a friendly sparring match into a battle of true strength, just because something I didn't recognize surged through my veins and took over my body.

"Hoshiko..." Naruto said, his voice a little shaky, but he recovered a bit from his state of terror.

I ignored him and took another few slow steps back as my eyes were wide, and I opened my mouth to let out a gasp of concern of what I would of done to Naruto if I had let myself do it.

"Hoshiko!" He shouted again as he reached out a hand, knowing I would run, and wanting me to stay.

I turned around and bolted out of the training grounds, bawling. "Hoshiko!" I heard his voice boom out again. I didn't bother to listen to him and kept running, hoping I could escape... But escape from what? I guess I wanted to escape from the monster I was.
