Hoshiko's Final Goodbye

~CHAPTER 21~

I was racing through the village, bushing people in my way, and squeezing through the crowd. I ran to the leaf hospital and exploded through the doors, tears in my eyes. my breath was weezy and I was in where panic.

"Where's Naruto Uzumaki!?" I asked, the nurse, scared to death. Naruto had returned to the village, and I heard he was injured real bad.

"Just down the hall, third room to the left." the nurse replied with a bright smile.

I nodded and dashed down the hall and opened Naruto's hospital room door.

"Hoshiko!" Naruto said with a huge smile. As much as it lifted my heart, it still felt like my heart had stopped bearing.

"Is it true!?" I shouted, tears streaming my face.

"Is what true?" he asked.

"Are you leaving for three years once you get out of here!?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna train with pervy sage." he replied.

I closed my eyes tight and dug my finger nails into my palms so hard, it drew blood.

"What's wrong?" Naruto asked with a frown.

I covered my face as I began bawling, "Please don't leave me Naruto-Kun!!!" I said in between sobs. Naruto didn't say a word. "I'm nothing without you, and I can't stand not seeing your cute smile!" I added.

Naruto didn't speak.

"Please..." I whispered. I then ran up to Naruto and kissed him on the lips. when our lips pulled away I whispered. "Please... don't leave me..."

"I'm sorry Hoshiko, I have to..." Naruto said with years building up in his eyes. "I need to if I ever want to get Sasuke back." I stood there. "Hoshiko,"

I was thinking, and then notice Naruto was speaking to me. "yeah...?"

"I love you..." he said as a single tear rolled down his cheek.

I began to cry. "I love you too..." I understood I had to let go, and that lead me to think of such a crazy idea... but I promised Naruto I would try to become stronger along aide him even if it meant several miles between us. I would try to win our bet.
