Shock, mischievous, and humor emotions was showing on Justin's face.
"How do you know my name," he questioned me with a grin.
I couldn't believe I said his name out loud. That was the last thing I wanted to say to him. What a great first impression Delilah! Now he thinks you are a stalker, my conscious wasn't helping my self esteem at all.
"Uhhh... Ummm... I-I-I- don't. I-I j-just gussed."
Smooth.
The sound of high heels walking on the pavement made Justin act different. He was becoming alert and paranoid. He quickly pushed me off of him, making me stumble and falling on my ass near the trash can. I landed with an "Oomph..."
Justin was fixing his hair and clothes, getting rid of any evidence of the magical moment that we just had. It broke my heart to see him act like that. I mean I know we just met and stared at each other for long periods of time today, but it felt something more than that. To me it did, I guess to him it didn't.
A girl with bright green eyes, luscious long blond hair, olive skin complexion, and a face with lots of foundation that must've taken hours putting on, strut her way to Justin. I can not lie, the girl was gorgeous.
"Justin baby what are you doing out here," she questioned.
"I was waiting for you, so we can walk in together," replied Justin sweetly.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and pushed her in roughly to his chest making them a centimeter close to their lips touching. Seconds past with them staring at each other until, Justin went in for the kill and kissed her. I couldn't bare watching them once more, so I turned my head away from them. I heard her giggle and the sound of the high heels walking once more. I looked back at them, they make a cute couple; don't deny it. As if he felt my eyes watching him, he turned around and I saw the most saddest expression a man could ever convey. Shouldn't he be happy? I was confused. He continued to look at me until he couldn't see me anymore.
The sound of the late bell ringing brought me back into the real world. I was late for fourth period, FUUUCCKKKK! Being late was something that I truly hated, its a pet peeve of mine. I stood up, wiped my butt just in case there was dirt lingering around on my jeans, and fast walked to the magnet building; hoping my teacher didn't look at me with disappointing eyes. I mean it's the first day, what can she do?
The rest of the day went by with a breeze. In 4th period, my teacher actually didn't give me a lecture like I thought she would for being late. Lunch was terrible, I texted all my girlfriends to see if they had the same lunch that I did. Only to fall short and get the same reply No :( so I did what any loner does; I sat alone.
5th, 6th, and 7th period was consisted with same thing. Teachers talking about themselves and what they expect out of us. I wasn't really paying attention, all teachers have one mentality. I figured that out a long time ago. My mind was occupied with Justin. If he had a girlfriend this whole time, then why did he flirted with me? Did he not like his girlfriend? Is he being forced into the relationship? Is he one of those guys that care about his image and reputation?
Those questions roamed through my head nonstop throughout the day. I needed someone to vent to. I walked in front of the school and saw my bus waiting. I board the bus and saw Riley texting and her backpack next to her; laying their as a warning to other people that the seat was taken and saved for someone else. I moved her backpack and sat down with a deep sigh.
"Yeah I know I feel the same way," said Riley.
I looked at her with questioning eyes.
"I'd rather talk about it on the group chat. So I can tell you guys all together," she said in reference to the instant message group chat that Riley, Denise, Lexi, and I were in.
I nodded my head, too much in thought to form a coherent reply. The three boys from this morning, boarded the bus. Victor was laughing hysterically, Vic & Jake both looked at me and stopped laughing and sat down.
"Hi I'm Joey. You're in my gym class aren't you," questioned the boy that was consumed with music this morning.
"I am? I don't know. I didn't look around at the people in my class."
"You have Coach Casterly 2nd period, right?"
"Yeah I do," I awkwardly answered.
"Its Denver right," asked Victor.
I looked at him confusingly. Is he trying to mistaken my name with a state? Haha two can play at this game, I thought mischievously.
"No it's Delilah. I'm sorry I forgot your name as well. Is it Vir-gina?"
"You meant to say Virginia," commanded Jake.
"Noo, I meant what I said; Vir-gina."
"What does that mean Delilah," asked Riley.
"Virginia and Vagina mashed together. Vir-gina," I answered.
There was an awkward silence and everyone was staring at me. I guess they must have thought it wasn't funny. Seconds has past and they all laughed simultaneously. I couldn't help but join in on the laugh. Once everyone has calmed down, I felt someone's eyes piercing at me. I turned my head and saw Victor starting at me with an intense gaze. I turned my head around and faced forward. I blushed when I still felt his eyes on me. What's wrong with him?
