The bus had made it to my stop in no time. I saw Riley and Victor exit the bus in the corner of my eye. The whole bus ride was awkward. I mean how would you feel to have someone stare at the back of your head consistently? Riley wasn't making the situation better either. She didn't talk at all; I guessed something terrible must've happened today to make her this way. I understand girlie.

My mom's car was parked right in front of the bus. I opened the passenger door, hopped in the car, and greeted my mother with a kiss on the cheek. My mom was a beautiful woman; her Asian like shaped eyes, honey bun skin, chocolate milk colored filled eyes, and natural, short, curly, dark brown hair made her breathtaking. I see where I got my good looks from, I thought with a grin.

"How was your first day sweetheart," asked my mother.

"Ehh. It was okay. Could've been better," I answered with a shrug.

My phone instantly started chiming. I glanced down and checked what I was receiving and saw it was my girls chatting away in the group chat. Wow they couldn't wait until later. I guessed something gut wrenching happened to every single one of them, that they needed to talk to each other urgently. I wasn't going to check or reply to anything until I get myself situated at home.

Seconds past and we arrived; I went straight for the bathroom. I don't use the bathroom at school at all because it's unsanitary and plus something about missing my classes for a minute doesn't sit well with me. I'm such a nerd. Once I was done doing my business, I quickly washed my hands and maneuvered my way to the kitchen. I saw several pots and pans on the stove, my mom certainly did her thing in the kitchen. I fixed myself a plate, enough food to make myself full just by looking at it. I took my plate and sat in front of the TV and munched away. The whole time I heard my phone chiming and buzzing continuously. Is it that serious?

An hour later, I was finished with my plate. I felt like my stomach could burst at any given time. I went in my room, laid on my bed, and checked for any notifications on my phone. I opened the app that lead to the instant messaging group chat. I scrolled up to see what the girls have been talking about earlier. Denise was yelling at me for me to be present in the group chat, no wonder my phone was buzzing like crazy. Lexi was talking to Riley about her three month trip, ignoring Denise's antics.

Me: Yes, Denise -_-

Denise: Gurl, where have you been?

Me: Eating.

Riley: Like always lol.

Me: Shut up lol. Okay Denise what is it that you need?

Denise: Nothing. I just wanted to bother you :)

Lexi: Lmaoo! You would Denise.

Me: Smh...So how was everybody's first day?

Denise: Ass

Lexi: Horrible

Riley: Every negative description you can name, but boring.

Lexi: Damn Riley that bad?

Riley: Yes :(

Me: What happened?

Riley: I saw Michael today. Why didn't no one tell me that he goes to our school?

Michael has been Riley's crush since middle school. He was a grade level higher than us. We knew that Michael had a thing for Riley, but he just never did anything about it and Riley is too shy to make the first move. With all the guys in the world she talked to, she can't form up a sentence to say to Michael.

Denise: Gurl, you need to pull yourself together and talk to him!

Lexi: Yeah this thing has been going on for a long time now. I'm surprised you even still like him.

Riley: I know, I know. It's just hard :(

Delilah do you think you can talk to him?

Me: For what? Why me? Why can't Lexi or Denise talk to him?

Riley: Because your the most friendly one out of all of us and you have no shame. Plus I just want you to ask him his thoughts about me.

Denise: Hahaha that's what you get Delilah!

Lexi: Lmaoo sucks to be you.

Me: He's not gonna tell me anything cause he knows we're friends.

Riley: Sooo? At least try to become his friend. Pleaseeee for me!

Me: UGGGHHH!! Fine whatever. If I see him around school I'll talk to him.

Riley: Yay! You're the best :)

Me: Yeah, yeah. Tell me something I don't know.

Looks like I'll be playing matchmaker for the rest of the school year.
