I quickly ran into the girls bathroom. I knew I didn't have to urinate, but if I didn't calm down soon then using the brown-stained toilets would have to be an option. I leaned against the counter sink and raised my head to see my reflection in the mirror. I practiced the breathing techniques that I learned in acting class to calm down my nerves. I couldn't figure out why I was acting like this. I couldn't figure out why Corey has such an effect on me. What does this mean? Just thinking about the situation made my brain hurt with agony. Just as soon as I was getting ready to leave the bathroom and meet with the boys, the late bell had runged. Great, I'm late to Spanish. Felt no point in going to class now. I walked out of the bathroom and was granted to see Justin and Corey in deep conversation. They happened to be whispering. Why? No one else is walking down the hallways. I decided to not let my presence to be known yet. I wanted to at least hear the important details of their conversation first.
"You need to tell her what is going on now or else she won't forgive you later," said Corey harshly.
Who's she? Is it me? Tell me what?
"Listen, she's not gonna find out. I got this all under control. Delilah's dumb so she won't figure it out," replied Justin jokingly with a chuckle.
Did he just call me dumb?!
"She's not dumb you ass! She's gonna find out one way or another and I really hope that she does. This effects her life too. Not just you!"
I stood there frozen in my place. My heart shattered into pieces. Did Justin just insulted me behind my back?! Joke or not why would he call me dumb? I thought he loved me. What did Corey and Justin know that I don't? Does it tie in with Lucas and my Mom? It's becoming all too confusing for me. Everyone is keeping secrets from me and I just want to know why. Maybe Corey will help me? I decided it was time to let my presence to be known. However, I need to put my game face on. It seems like Justin's playing a game and I need to know the winning result of this first. I need to find out what is going on.
