"Now remember don't ask him to much questions or else he won't answer them and don't come off mean. You have a tendency of doing that and look at his face for emotions, you're good at reading people..."
"OKAYYY Riley I get it! Geez," I interrupted her continuous speech about Micheal.
She has been saying the same thing since last night and couldn't stop talking about him the whole bus ride to school. It was becoming irritating, why can't neither one of them say hi to each other? It's not like they're getting married.
We walked through the entrance of our school. Thank God there wasn't a huge crowd like yesterday. Riley and I made our way to the patio in search for Denise and Lexi. We saw them talking at a table.
"What's up bitches," asked Riley as greeting.
"Lexi has something to tell you guys!" exclaimed Denise.
Lexi was appalled; she didn't want Denise to put her on the spot like that. Riley and I gave Lexi a blank face, to let her know that we were waiting for her to start talking.
"Well, I met a guy..."
"FINALLYY!" I yelled.
Lexi didn't date anybody in middle school. She always said that they were too immature and didn't meet her standards. Riley, Denise, and I were starting to think she was playing for the other field. I mean if she was gay it wouldn't make a difference to us; we would still love her unconditionally.
"Don't interrupt me Delilah. Anyway, he doesn't go to our school; he lives in Spain," she said shyly.
"WHAT?!"
"YOU CANT BE SERIOUS!"
"Ayyee! European boy," Riley, Denise and I said simultaneously.
Riley and I gave Denise a blank look towards her comment. Typical Denise, cheering for unnecessary things.
"I know, I know! I met him while I was in Spain and we spent the whole time I was their together. He took me out on dates, but we didn't kiss though and he even charmed my parents into letting him show me the great adventures of Spain," she said dreamingly.
"Sounds like a romance movie," snickered Denise.
We all laughed at the truthful statement.
"I know I just miss him. He told me he would visit me, I just don't know when," she said in a depressing voice.
"Just relax. If he shows up then hip hip hooray, but you must prepare yourself for the worst just in case he doesn't," I chimed in.
"Yeah Delilah is right. Be strong," agreed Riley.
The bell runged for us to head to our classes. We all stood up from the table and made our way. Before I could make five steps into my path, I heard Riley calling out my name. I turned around and saw her running up to me.
"Don't forget about Micheal! Please be nice..."
Before she can get into more detail, I walked away with a roll of my eyes and yelled out "Goodbye Riley!"
I arrived to my Spanish class and saw more than the six kids from yesterday. Geez this is a big class. I sat at the desk where I sat yesterday. The late bell runged and class began. Mrs. Smith started off with attendance and the kids that weren't on her roster sheet had to leave and go to the main office. That process took more than half an hour. She then gave us a worksheet that had questions about who we are and what we liked to do, etc. I completed it quickly and placed it right on the corner of my desk. It was the ticket out the door once class ended.
My mind drifted off to Justin again. Now that I know he has a girlfriend, I couldn't let him suck me into his trance again. I have to respect his relationship status and move on, but a part of me wants to just say fuck it and live life. Or should I say the whore in me. I don't know why I'm making this such a big deal, I don't even know the kid. For all I know he could be the biggest jerk of all time.
The bell runged and it was time to switch classes. Mrs. Smith was standing in front of the door collecting our papers as we walked out.
Coach Casterly told us to sit where we sat yesterday. Before I took my seat on the bleachers, I looked at the people that were in my class. I saw Joey sitting by himself. He saw me staring at him and smiled and waved at me. I made a motion with my hand for him to sit with me. He maneuvered his way to me and greeted me with an unexpected hug. The late bell runged and Coach Casterly started taking attendance. She then told us that we wouldn't be dressing out and working on physical activities until next week. Once she was done, she brought out a bag filled with basketballs and volleyballs for those that wanted to play. My phone started to vibrate signaling that I had received a text message.
Come sit over here kid.
I can't leave my friend like that Cameron -_-
Bring him with you...duhhh
I asked Joey if he wanted to come with me on the other side of the gym. He was hesitant with his reply. He looked at where I pointed to where we will be sitting and he quickly told me no. I guess the sight of Cameron made his knees weak.
I made my way over across the gym, I felt eyes watching me as I was walking. I looked around and saw the last person I wanted to catch looking at me; Justin. I continued walking and sat directly in front Cameron, but the front of my body was facing him.
"Why didn't your friend come," Cameron asked.
"I don't know. I think he's scared of you," I replied with a laugh.
"Hahah! That's a first!"
Cameron and I continued talked about the girls that he is into and the girls that can't seem to get into their heads that they are not together. We were interrupted by one of Justin's friends handing me a slip of paper.
"Hi I'm Corey, one of Justin's friends, Justin wanted me to give you this."
I was in shock. I stared at Corey in disbelief. Why does Justin want to give me something?
"Why couldn't he come bring it to me himself," I asked.
"Personal reasons. Just take the paper....please," he replied.
I took the slip of paper out of Corey's hand. It felt like the paper was the key to my future. Corey walked back across the Gym to where Justin was. I unfolded the paper and it simply read:
We need to talk. Instant message me; my username is JSimms.
-Justin :)
Talk about what?
