I woke up with the sound of my alarm clock ringing vigorously. I groaned while I was moving across my bed. I opened my eyes and looked to my left at my alarm clock, it read 6:00 a.m. I had to get up and get ready or else I would miss this bus. I can just imagine hearing my Mother talk her head off to me about it, I'm just not in the mood today. Especially, what happened last night. I thought about the ending of my friendship with Denise. For some reason a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It was a feeling of a new beginning. A new chapter in my life, but I didn't know how to go about it today. I mean I know Riley & Lexi will have there reservations about this, but then again id rather be a one man army and be successful by myself than, have friends who are not what they really seem. I got up from my bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. The house seemed so silent. The house was never silent at 6 o'clock in the morning. Usually, I would hear coffee brewing as soon as I get up or my Mother showering. Today was different, I didn't hear any of that. My alertness was on a high due to yesterday's events. I was becoming paranoid. Extremely paranoid. I decided to go ahead with my shower. Maybe the sound will wake Mom up or something.
Thirty minutes passed and I was good to go. I looked on my nightstand, next to my bed, and grabbed my phone. I turned it on, hoping that I had enough battery life left to last for the day. My phone was swarming with alert sounds. It took minutes before I was able to check my notifications. I had 50 text messages, 12 missed calls all from Justin, and 3 unread Instant Messages from Riley, Lexi, and Justin. I was clueless as in to why Justin wanted to reach me so much until I realized that I promised to call him yesterday. I hope he's not mad at me. I looked at the time and saw that it was passed the schedule time that I leave to head to the bus stop. I walked to kitchen where my Mother is usually located in the mornings, but she wasn't there. I walked to the living room; no sign of Mom. Her room, the bathrooms, and back yard had the same results. Gone. I went out the front door to the drive way. Maybe she's in the car waiting. Her car was gone, but another car was waiting. Justin's. I saw him get out the car and run towards me. He picked me up in the air spun me around while he was hugging me. I was shocked as into why he was here. He finally put me down and said,
"Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be," I questioned.
"Because you didn't answer your phone last night and I got worried," he answered as he cupped my face.
"Sorry, I turned it off so I could get some rest," I replied with an innocent smile.
I was still confused over the fact why Justin is here. Shouldn't he been with Ashley?
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to take you to school," he replied in a duh tone.
Is this in his free will or does Justin happen to know where my Mom is?
"Sure I guess since I don't know where my Mom went," I said as I turned around and went inside to grab my things.
"Don't worry about that. She's with Lucas," he replied nonchalantly.
How did Justin know that? Does he live with Lucas?
Confusion was written all over my face. I can tell from Justin's expression that he probably wasn't supposed to tell me that important piece of information. I decided to let it go for now, just for his sake. I turned around made sure that the lights were off in the house, set the alarm on my way out, and locked the door.
Justin's car was filled with the new car smell. It relaxed me on the way to school. Once we reached school and was parked in Justin's assigned parking spot, he grabbed my hand as soon as he saw me made an inch of movement to leave. I was somewhat surprised since, he didn't talk the whole ride here.
"Before you go, I just wanted to tell you that Ashley and I broke up last night," he stated.
My eyes grew big. My heart was racing. I mean I shouldn't be this surprised but I was. I know he said he was gonna do it, but I didn't think that he would actually do it.
"I want you to be mine baby and I meant what I said yesterday Delilah. You're more important to me than anyone else. I felt that feeling the first time I laid eyes on you. I didn't think I was capable of loving someone so quickly and genuinely. I want years with you baby."
As he said those words, he leaned in and his lips landed right on mine. Magic happened again. I can't imagine life without Justin, he's everything that I could ask for. We pulled apart and the only thing that I was able to say was,
"Thank you."
"Anything for you sweet heart," he replied with a grin.
He opened his door and quickly came around the car to open mine. He's such a gentleman. He took my bag off of my back and put it on his and interlocked our fingers. He told me that there was some people in his life that were dying to meet me. I'm guessing it's his friends from Gym class. I started to become nervous, but it dissolved when knowing that I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have Justin by my side and nothing or no one can take that away from me.
