Skylar and I walked back through the woods and toward the main training area where I was running away from Heather. In the rush, I hadn't noticed the small pond with a small dock home to so many tiny creatures it looked as if the objects in the pond were moving.
I saw Heather frantically going from person to person and asking where I was. Then she looked in my direction with disgust. She walked over to Skylar and I.
"Hey," Skylar said.
Heather rolled her eyes turned to me. "I was looking all over for you! Come, let's get you cleaned up."
She reached for me again.
I pulled back and said "What part of 'Don't touch me' did you not understand?"
She looked at me like I'd killed her mom.
"Sorry for asking," she said and turned around to walk away.
Next time I saw her I would blast her off this sky island.
Lukas walked towards us laughing as he did so.
"Dude that way you threw her through the air? Priceless!" he laughed.
Heather heard and turned around "I heard that!"
"We're not in the mood to care!" I yelled back.
All the kids near the pond said "Ooooooh!"
Heather looked like she would jump off the sky island herself. "That witch is working mind magic on you!" she pointed at Skylar.
Some kid from behind said "If anything you're the witch!"
Heather turned and stormed away from the pond.
When the sun started to set and all the kids gathered up in a huge red cabin called "The Great Hall."
Inside, the walls were lined with shields and pictures of some people. In the middle, a giant campfire burned in a nice design of stone. This one wasn't warm enough to give me heatstroke. On the wall was a giant painting of runes or some symbols I didn't understand. The place was crowded with tables and chairs, and standing near the fireplace, I noticed a few ghostly ladies in cooking outfits were preparing food over the fire.
Everyone took their seats. I was picky on where I sat, and couldn't decide until I spotted Theo and Lukas standing across the fire.
I sat down next to them. A plate flew in my direction and landed in front of me. It landed in front of Theo and Lukas as well. A few seconds later, Lukas's plate had a cheeseburger on it and Theo was already slurping some soup.
My plate was still empty.
"Um..."
"Think about what food you want," Lukas said. "And imagine it on the plate."
I thought of what food I wanted. I imagined the casserole my mom used to make before she passed. I thought to hard and I suddenly blacked out.
I was standing in the room of my old house drawing. I always liked drawing structures or making them out of Legos. I was about ten at the time. I was drawing the sketch of something I couldn't make out in the dream, and I had long forgotten it. I smelled the delicious casserole that was cooking in the kitchen.
My sister came from downstairs, crying. "Mom!"
"Yes, sweetie?" my mom asked from the kitchen.
"Randy was cheating on me!"
